ROADS (WORKS, USE AND COMPENSATION) ORDINANCE (Chapter 370) (Notice under section 8(2)) IMPROVEMENT OF CHI MA WAN ROAD, (PHASE I) Notice is hereby given that the Secretary for Transport proposes to execute the road works as shown on Plan No. RP 1063B (the ‘Plan’) and described in the scheme annexed thereto, which Plan and scheme have been deposited in the Land Registry. The general nature of the proposed works is as follows:— (i) construction of a vehicular/pedestrian bridge of approximately 20 metres long across a stream near Ham Tin comprising a carriageway of approximately 3.5 metres wide and a footpath of approximately 1.6 metres wide; (ii) construction of a carriageway of approximately 3.5 metres wide and a footpath of approximately 1.6 metres wide connecting the existing Chi Ma Wan Road and the new vehicular/pedestrian bridge involving the reconstruction of sections of the existing carriageways and footpaths of Chi Ma Wan Road; (iii) permanent closure and demolition of the existing vehicular/pedestrian bridge across a stream near Ham Tin; (iv) permanent closure and demolition of sections of the existing carriageways and footpaths of Chi Ma Wan Road; and (v) ancillary works including associated drainage works and construction of retaining walls.
