This tour, based in two locaons, has a number of different cycling and hiking routes near- by for you to choose from. Day 1 Arrive to Ruberts Arrive at your 15th c. Manor “agriturismo” in Sencelles, surround- ed by orchards of citrus, almond and apricot trees and vineyards and swimming pool, where you will stay for 4 nights. Days 2 Circular ride 39 or 47km You start off by cycling through beauful countryside, to reach the historical town of Sineu , with its impressive Gothic church, narrow lanes and lively outdoor terraces. You then connue to Petra , birthplace of Fray Juniperus Serra (the European ‘founder’ of Cali- fornia), where the monastery and iconographic museum are worth a visit. The hilltop Hermitage of Bonnay is a prime spot to stop for lunch. The last secon of the route follows quiet country roads and dirt tracks back to your hotel. Day 3 Circular ride 47 km A er crossing the Palma-Inca highway, you traverse almond and olive orchards on the slopes of the Tramuntana mountain range to reach the village of Alaró , with its lovely castle. To avoid 3km of heavy traffic on the road, you follow ancient footpaths linking Bi- nissalem and Alaró (with just a short 500m secon which is not suitable for cycling). On your return, you ‘sail down’ a beauful inland road which winds through an authenc rural landscape, past impressive estates and historic villages. Day 4 Circular ride 45 or 58 km There will be plenty of classic Mallorquin windmills to admire as you turn South. You’ll have the choice of vising 3 hermitages on the ascent up Puig de Randa (450m extra to ascend), but the scen- ery is just as nice if you choose to cycle directly to Llucmajor then around the Puig . Later, a dirt road takes you to Montuiri and back to the hotel. Day 5 Ruberts to Pollen ça 43 km Today starts with a ride from Ruberts to Pollença , through a quiet valley with carob plantaons and Mediterranean oak trees in the Sierra Montana foothills. You pass the huge bay of Puerto Pollença, a tranquil beach resort, and end up in the historical town of Pol- lença. Your luggage will be transported for you. Days 6 & 7 Circular rides through S’Albufera, and Alcudia or Lluc Again you may choose from several cycling tours along the deep blue coastline of Pollença and Alcudia , once an important Roman selement. Ride into the Sierra de Tramuntana , with a strenuous climb to admire the Black Madonna of Lluc . There are several short hikes you can take, or just enjoy a dive into the sea. 42 or 68km, 25 or 50km. Day 8 End of tour a er breakfast. What to Expect What will the weather be like?
