He led the Panthers to a very respectable 32-23 record in their inaugural year of 2009. Wes is no stranger to the West Michigan athletic scene as he comes to Davenport from Belding Area Schools where he served as the athletic director. It was his second stint as AD for Belding Area Schools as he also served the same position from 1991-2002. In between his time at Belding, Cum- mings served as the Athletic Director for Hillsdale Community Schools. In all, Wes has had 26 years of experience as an Athletic Director, 23 years in coaching (12 of them as a head coach) and 31 years overall in education. Cummings is a 1974 graduate of Central Michigan University where he received his Bachelor of Science in Education. He majored in Physical Education and received a minor in Geography. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a GPA of 3.87 on a 4.0 scale. He currently lives in Belding, MI with his wife Terri. Together they have five children, Brian, Brent, Paul, Toni and Shelly. WHAC NaIa 2009 Cummings 32 23 2009 32 23 ..581 4th --- KeVIN tIDeY Kevin begins his second year as Head Assistant Coach for the Panthers baseball program. He comes to DU from Sparta High School where he helped build the Spartans program into one of the elite baseball powerhouses in the state of Michigan. At Sparta, his teams won four District Titles, one Regional Cham- pionship and made one appearance in the Quarterfinals. Tidey compiled a record of 66-11 in his last two seasons with the Spartans as they were ranked in the Top 5 in Division II each season. Kevin's playing experience goes back to Grand Rapids JC and Aquinas College where he received all-conference and all-region honors at JC. Tidey and his wife Sunny reside in Sparta, MI with their four kids: Cade and triplets Brock, Jaeger and Presley HARRY BERRIOS Harry begins his second year as Assistant Coach for the Panthers baseball program. Berrios has numer- ous years of experience in the professional ranks as he spent 14 years in Professional Baseball. After helping the LSU Tigers win two National Championships, Harry was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles and later played with the Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers. Harry, who resides in Grand Rapids, MI is currently employed by Diamonds Baseball and Softball Training. MIKe SPIeGeL Mike begins his second year on the sidelines for the Panthers baseball program at Davenport. Spiegel will oversee the pitching staff after helping DU to a 32-23 record in their inaugural year of 2009. He also recently served as the Pitching Coach for Holland Christian HS from 2005-2007. During his playing days, Mike was drafted out of Sacramento City College in 1995 and spent 10 years in the minor leagues with the Indians, Tigers and Phillies Mike lives in Caledonia, MI with his wife Patricia AARON MONTANINO Aaron begins his second year with the Panthers baseball program as an assistant coach. He is currently employed by Davenport as a full-time advisor after graduating from DU in 2007. Aaron works primarily with student-athletes and the sport management program. Montanino played baseball at Grandville High School where he also spent time coaching. He, his wife Brook and their son Gavin live in Wyoming, MI.
