Middle and Upper School Physical Education Dress Code

All Middle and Upper School students will be expected to come to Physical Education class fully prepared to participate. Official Ranney Physical Education clothing can be purchased on Lands End website at: http://www.landsend.com/pp/SchoolSearch.html?action=landing&selectedSchoolNum=900028390.

Please order clothing well in advance to allow for an adequate amount of time for processing and shipping. In addition, other acceptable dress code items for boys and girls include appropriate athletic clothing, which consists of colors that are limited to grey, navy blue, black and white. Students must wear athletic sneakers and socks to participate. Regardless of school dress down days, students are required to change into their PE uniform for class. During the colder months, students will be required to bring in warm clothing, which must still follow the color scheme of grey, navy blue, black and white. Furthermore, cell phones are not permitted in class.

The following list of clothing cannot be worn for class:  Sleeveless shirts, tank tops or leggings.  Under Armour, compression or spandex material clothing (shorts, pants and shirts) may not be worn on their own. These types of items must be accompanied with shorts or a tee-shirt as an outer layer.  Clothing that is cut, torn or ripped.  Clothing containing graphics, wording, concert events, or slogans that can be considered offensive.

Lower School Physical Education Dress Code

Physical Education Grades Ranney Physical Education Attire: and Swim Beginners to 2  Students will participate in their school uniforms and will not change for Physical Education Class  Students are required to bring in sneakers to participate (tie or velcro) Swim Gear:  Swimming trunks for boys  One piece or tankini for girls  Goggles are optional  Swim cap is required for all girls  Swim shirt is optional

Physical Education Grades 3 to 5 Ranney Physical Education Gear: and Swim  Ranney t-shirt  Ranney gym shorts (navy blue or grey)  Ranney sweatshirt & navy blue pants  White socks  Sneakers (tie or velcro) Swim Gear:  Swimming trunks for boys  One piece or tankini for girls  Goggles are optional  Swim cap is required for all girls  Swim shirt is optional
