ABOUT THE SPARTANS • Michigan State travels to Bloomington with a 2-3 overall record. In all three Spartan losses this season, the team failed to score a goal, while both wins (Penn State and Northwestern) came via shutout. • The Spartans have scored three goals in five matches this season, coming from three different sources. • Todd Yeagley was named Indiana head men’s soccer coach on December 18, 2009 and is in his 10th year as the Hoosiers’ leader.

2012 NCAA National Champions • In just his third season as head coach, Yeagley led Indiana to the 2012 NCAA title, the eighth championship in IU history. The Hoosiers became the first No. 16 seed to win the championship, compiling victories over Xavier, at No. 1 Notre Dame, at No. 9 North Carolina, No. 12 Creighton and No. 3 Georgetown during their tournament run.

• Yeagley was named 2012 Soccer America Coach of the Year as he and his father Jerry become the only father- son duo to have won Division I men’s soccer championships.

PERSONAL Year-By-Year HOMETOWN: Bloomington, Ind. • Indiana pulled off the Big Ten double for the second-straight season in 2019, winning both the regular season FAMILY: Wife - Suzy; and conference tournament titles for the 10th time in program history. The 2019 campaign, coupled with the double in 2018, marked the first back-to-back double for the Hoosiers since the 1998-99 seasons. IU finished the season Sons - Ben, Grant & Jay ranked No. 5 in the nation with an overall record of 15-3-4. For the third-straight season, Yeagley and the IU HIGH SCHOOL: Bloomington South coaching staff were named Men’s North Region Staff of the Year for DI Institutions by United Soccer Coaches. COLLEGE: Indiana Yeagley was also tabbed Big Ten Coach of the Year for the third time in his career after leading Indiana to a 33rd- straight, and 44th overall, NCAA appearance.

PLAYING EXPERIENCE • The 2018 season was another historic one for Indiana, as the Hoosiers won both the Big Ten regular season and INDIANA tournament championships for the first time since 2006. IU advanced to the College Cup for the second-straight 1991-94: Midfielder/Defender season and finished the year ranked No. 3 in the nation with an overall record of 20-3-1. Also for the second-straight season, Yeagley and the IU coaching staff were named Men’s North Region Staff of the Year for DI Institutions by United Soccer Coaches. Andrew Gutman and Trey Muse earned First-Team All-America honors from United Soccer PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Coaches, while Griffin Dorsey earned second-team accolades. COLUMBUS CREW (MLS) 1996-2002: Midfielder Playing Career • As a player, Yeagley was a four-time All-American at Indiana (1991-94) and in 1994 was named the Missouri 2002: Assistant General Manager Athletic Club National Player of the Year. During his stint as a student- in Bloomington, Yeagley was a two- time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. He led the Hoosiers to three Big Ten titles (1991, 1992, 1994) and a 79-9-5 COACHING EXPERIENCE overall record. INDIANA • After his playing days at Indiana, Yeagley also enjoyed a successful seven-year professional career in Major 2003: Volunteer Assistant Coach League Soccer with the Columbus Crew. Columbus advanced to the MLS Playoffs in five of Yeagley’s seven seasons 2004-08: Assistant Coach with the team and won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2002. 2010-present: Head Coach Honors • Since returning to his alma mater, Yeagley has produced 14 Major League Soccer Draft picks, six MLS Homegrown WISCONSIN signees, 45 All-Big Ten honorees (23 first-team selections) and five Big Ten Player of the Year selections. 2009: Head Coach Personal • Yeagley is a member of the Indiana Soccer Hall of Fame and in 2013 was inducted into the Monroe County Hall of Fame and the IU Athletics Hall of Fame.

• Yeagley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in sociology from Indiana in 2002. He and his wife, Suzy, have three children: Ben, Grant and Jay.
