Revenues for the public libraries were down in 2008 from 2007 by 1.7% for a loss of about 7 million dollars.” In these hard times, libraries are seeing huge increases in their circulation and overall library usage. Libraries are hard at work shifting their resources so they can be responsive to these hard economic times. “Libraries are opening their meeting rooms to groups and organizations and other charities who are helping those in need.” -Lynda Murray, Ohio Library Council.
