Richmond, BC – Collective Soul, taken from a line in Ayn Rand's book, The Fountainhead, was formed in the small town of Stockbridge, in the early '90s by (lead vocals/keyboards/), guitarists and and rhythm section (bass/percussion) and (drums/percussion). Released in 1993 on the indie label Rising Storm, Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid featured the #1 hit single, “Shine”. The proved popular enough on the local level that it was picked up the following year by and went on to achieve Double Platinum status. They then released their second album, Collective Soul in 1995 which featured the #1 hits, “December", “Where The River Flows” and “” along with “Gel” and “”. The album went Triple Platinum and spent 76 weeks on the Billboard Top 200 charts. Their 1997 album, produced two more #1 hits, “” and “Listen” followed two years later with Dosage which featured the #1 hit single, “Heavy” along with “Run”, “Needs” and “”.

In 2000, the band released Blender which featured the hit singles, “Why, Pt. 2”, “Vent” and “Perfect Day” … a duet with Roland and . They then returned to their roots in 2004 welcoming new guitarist Joel Kosche as Ross’ replacement and releasing the stripped-down and dynamic Youth on its own imprint. The album featured the hit singles, “Counting the Days”, “Better Now” and “How Do You Love”. Their 2007 album, Afterwords opened at #25 on the Billboard Comprehensive Chart and #5 on the Billboard Top Internet Albums Chart and featured the singles, “Hollywood” and “All That I Know”. The following year, “Tremble For My Beloved” was featured in the 2008 blockbuster film, as well as on the film’s chart topping soundtrack. That same year they released their eighth studio album … another self-titled but designated by the band as Rabbit. The album featured the singles, “Staring Down”, “Welcome All Again” and “You”. In 2009, they were inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Collective Soul will be performing for one night only at the River Rock Casino Resort on July 28, 2012.
