RULES First and foremost, we would like to THANK YOU for participating for such a GREAT cause and secondly, we encourage you to HAVE FUN, DRINK, & BE MERRY!! ! SORRY, GUYS, BUT NO HOMERUNS ALLOWED. Period. LADIES, SWING AWAY! ANY HOMERUN BY A GIRL COUNTS AS TWO RUNS!! ! And now for the rules and regulations for each individual … Please read! carefully. 1st Inning- BASES IN REVERSE ORDER To start, EVERYONE BATS. All players must run the bases in reverse order from home to third, to second, to first, to home…Players on the field must make outs based on how the !players are running. Regular rules apply as to force outs, etc. 2nd Inning- TEE BALL W/ A 'TWIST' Again, EVERYONE BATS. Each batter will use the wooden bats provided. The batter must place their forehead on top of the handle of the bat, place the bat upwards and touch the opposite end, or the barrel end, to the ground. They will then spin around 3 times with their eyes closed, stand up, and hit the ball! The can make the decision if the batter is taking too long to bat (you will get a of “3”) and can then call them for delay of game. The batter will be allowed one courtesy foul, after that, they are out. If the batter hits the tee only and the ball falls to the ground, this is a foul ball! If the batter hits the tee and the ball, and the ball goes into play, it !is a live ball. NO BUNTING! Once your team bats through their line-up, your half of the inning is over. 3rd Inning- KICKBALL Each team will be playing good, old fashioned kickball this inning! You are required to kick the ball and yes, it must go at least to the ’s mound to be counted as a ‘kick’. If the ball is caught in the air, you are out. If it gets to the base before you do, you are out. If you are tagged with it in the face, you are out. You are allowed unlimited rolls as long as you don’t touch it in any way and it rolls to the . And after three foul kicked balls, you !are out. Three outs per team. 4th Inning- RAG BALL This inning, instead of the normal 44/375 core , you will be using a “rag ball” instead. Same ASA bats to be used when hitting. When in the field, NO GLOVES ALLOWED. You must use your hands only. Regular rules apply as to force outs, etc. NO THROWING THE BALL AT THE RUNNER. This inning ends !when the defense makes three outs. 5th Inning- BEER BASES Teams must provide their own cooler or bucket full of age appropriate beverages for this inning. (No glass will be allowed on the field!) The team’s cooler will be placed between Home Plate and 1st Base. OBJECTIVE: Hit the ball, grab a BEVERAGE from the cooler or bucket as you make your way to 1st base, open and begin to drink while proceeding to play the inning following regular softball rules WITHOUT dropping your drink! Regular rules apply, so be sure to have a tight grip if you intend on doing any sliding or if you’re stuck in a hot box! ☺ SPILLAGE is allowed…DROPPAGE means YOU’RE OUT!! Three outs ends this inning! (BEVERAGE can be a can of beer, can of soda, bottle of water, a cup filled with a mixed drink—no glass, no form of alcoholic-or non-alcoholic-shot !—has to be an actual opened BEVERAGE.) Have fun. Don’t try to create loopholes. Lastly, NO ARGUING WITH THE UMPIRE!
