➢ Improvement of planning and design, especially regarding noise protection and landscape integration
➢ Consistent and sustainable decisions / agreements with stakeholders but also through all levels of administration
➢ Securing equal standards in all sections of the A8 (70 km) ➢ Efficient planning procedures after the dialogue (formal dialogue limited to 2 years, but ongoing as and when required)

➢ Development of alternatives, starting with 36 over 70 km
➢ Categorising alternatives based on costs in comparison to a basic alternative and a benefit-cost-analysis (27 remaining) ➢ Development of a criteria catalogue to eveluate the alternatives (8 main criterias , 34 sub criterias; points-based system, 5 levels) ➢ Development of a weighing up system to classify all alternatives Challenge: Method had to be agreed by all stakeholders
