EUROPEAN COOPERATION DAY 2017

Starting 2012, programmes involved in the European Territorial Cooperation started a joint communication activity to promote projects results within a wider audience. The first edition was a success and continued since then, highlighting achievements through territorial cooperation for tens of thousands of people each year. On average, European Cooperation Day is celebrated by over 50 programmes, with more than 170 local events being organized in 35 to 40 countries each year.

RO-UA-MD PROGRAMME CELEBRATES THE EUROPEAN COOPERATION DAY

For the sixth consecutive year the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013 celebrates the European Cooperation Day. On October 13th, young students from “Myhaylo Ivasiuk” Art School in (Ukraine) will be involved in a creative workshop. At the same time, across the border, students from “Ciprian Porumbescu” Art College in will be involved in a similar event that will be hosted by the Bucovina Museum. The young artists will try to transfer the emotions gathered by the Programme documentary “Border of Souls” and the Programme brochure. They will use colors to paint their ideas and thoughts regarding the European Union, cooperation and results of the cross-border projects. At the end of the workshop, the works will be uploaded on the Programme website and on the fb page, they will have the chance to be included, together with the results of the EC Day events organized by other cooperation programs in Europe, in the common video material promoting cross-border cooperation.

During previous ECDay campaign there were other events organized by the Joint Operational Programe Romania- Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013 that aimed to create a better understanding of cross-border cooperation through painting.
