GEOGRAPHY The San Pedro Tlaquepaque county has a surface of 119 Km2, and compared to the rest of the towns in the state of Jalisco it is considered the number 122.Also known as "Pueblo Mágico" (Magical Town) it is the only town in the Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara which counts with this denomination. To the north, it share borders with Zapopan, Tonalá and Guadalajara; to the south it borders El Salto and Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, to the east it joins Tonalá and El Salto, while to the west it is next to Tlajomulco de Zúñiga and Zapopan. CLIMATE The town of San Pedro Tlaquepaque has a semi-warm Event such as Expo Emprende e Innova where robotics, creative industry, semi-humid. This allows us to continue favoring the business and investment climate, by granting tax incentives to investors who start industrial, commercial, educational and service activities that generate new sources of direct employment and make investments in real estate destined to productive, commercial, distribution and high technology operation purposes. Our county has a Business One-Stop Shop that provides the entrepreneur and investor with agility and speed for their installation procedures for new companies that offer certainty in their processes and the necessary guarantees in their establishment in our county. Tlaquepaque is part of the Metropolitana Zone of Guadalajara ( ZMG), reason for which it shares communication lines with the second most populated city of the county, a situation that allows it to join with the main producing and consuming centers (at the national level), and with the county in the interior of the state of Jalisco, as can be seen in the map of highways and communication routes of the first order. By road, San Pedro Tlaquepaque has communication to Mexico City by three lines: 1. Free highway by the Altos de Jalisco 2. Toll road by Zapotlanejo 3. Free highway by Morelia To the North of the country and connected to the United States of America it counts with access by the following communication lines: 1. Highway to Tijuana through Mazatlán 2. Highway to Monterrey, Nuevo Laredo and Nogales through San Luis Potosí POLITIC OF INDUSTRIAL AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Besides the road communication infrastructure with high-altitude ports places us in a strategic location, for cargo movements for trade, export and import, since it has strategic communications such as: Tlaquepaque works according to a government regulation and the Public Administration of the Constitutional Council of San Pedro 1. Road to Manzanillo Tlaquepaque, in it Chapter V, Article 237, and respects the General 2. Road to Lázaro Cárdenas Port through La Barca Coordination of Economic Development and it is against Inequality and its attributions. EDUCATION: The county of San Pedro Tlaquepaque has a robust educational system. Several of the most prestigious universities in the county are located in its territory. To the south Tlaquepaque's railroad system reach Guatemala, from East to West it reaches the most important import and export cities such as Veracruz, Altamira, Tampico, in the Golf of Mexico, and with Manzanillo and Lázaro Cárdenas in the Pacific Ocean, going throughout the cities of the county and Mexico City. CULTURAL ATTRACTIONS San Pedro Tlaquepaque is taking the challenges that the XXI century presents, but it does not forget its strong roots. Tlaquepaque´s plan for the a better future is a marriage between a sustainable growth project and the traditional elements of its identity. TOURISTIC ATTRACTIONS Judea live, historical-religious event which recreates the passion and death of Crist, it takes place since 1794 in San Martín de las Flores. It is the 2nd most important event of its kind after the one in Iztapalapa, Estado de México, and it hosts about 350, 000 tourists. The International Airport Miguel Hidalgo is located at 15 minutes from the central zone of San Pedro Tlaquepaque, and it counts with services for passengers and shipment of products, for both national and international destinations. The Western Bus Station also known as the "Nueva Central de Autobuses", one of the biggest and more functional bus stations of the Mexican Republic. ECONOMIC In the county we have international companies from the technological, electronic and manufacturing sectors, which found in Tlaquepaque a pleasant and competitive climate to invest, companies such as SANMINA SCI, FLEXTRONICS, JABIL CIRCUIT, HEWLETT PARKARD, INTEL, as well as companies in the automotive industry, such as : SUMIDA DE MEXICO AND SIEMENS, CONTINENTAL and logistics such as GENESIS MANUFACTURING, EXEL, FEDEX, among others. The participation of companies at the international level is important, of the 24,423 companies that exist in the county, 2,972 companies are export-oriented. According to the SCIAN classification registered in the DENUE INEGI (Classification used by the (TEMEC).     Ficha informativa, 16 de abril de 2020 Encuesta Nacional de Seguridad Pública Urbana (ENSU) Principales resultados para Jalisco Marzo 2020 El 16 de abril de 2020, el INEGI presentó la vigésimo séptima edición de la Encuesta Nacional de Seguridad Pública Urbana (ENSU), siendo su principal objetivo el obtener información que permita realizar estimaciones con representatividad a nivel nacional urbano de la percepción que tiene la población sobre la seguridad pública en su ciudad. Se encuestaron a personas de 18 años y más; la encuesta tiene una periodicidad trimestral con periodos de levantamiento en los meses de marzo, junio, septiembre y diciembre. Los resultados de marzo de 2020 se dividen en nueve módulos con información y cobertura nacional urbana: I. Percepción, II. Sensación de seguridad, III. Expectativas de delincuencia, IV. Condición de atestiguamiento de delitos y conductas antisociales, V. Cambio de rutinas por temor a la delincuencia, VI. Percepción del desempeño de autoridades, VII. Conflictos y conductas antisociales, VIII. Desempeño gubernamental y IX. Formas de enterarse sobre la situación de la seguridad pública (en este trimestre se omiten los módulos X. Delitos contra integrantes del hogar y XI. Acoso personal y violencia sexual). Para el estado de Jalisco, a partir de la encuesta de junio de 2018, el INEGI reporta resultados de las zonas urbanas de los municipios de Guadalajara, Tonalá, Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, San Pedro Tlaquepaque, Zapopan y Puerto Vallarta1. Los principales resultados para Jalisco se presentan a continuación; para facilitar la exposición, a la región integrada por las zonas urbanas de los municipios de Guadalajara, Tonalá, San Pedro Tlaquepaque, Zapopan y Tlajomulco de Zúñiga, se le denominará Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara (ZMG).

Air Quality was assessed for CO, NO2, SO2, O3 and PM10. Tlaquepaque had the highest mean concentrations for CO –3 (0.88 ppm), NO2 (24.55 ppb), SO2 (0.0036 ppm) and PM10 (53.81 µg m ), whereas, Zapopan registered the highest mean value for O3 (25.06 ppb). Only PM10 and Ozone exceeded the maximum permissible values established in the Mexican official standards. SO2 presented the highest RRI values in MAG, especially for Zapopan and Tonala, for the majority of the population: 0–59 years and > 60 years.
