Jacobs set a new freshman single game record with 29 Steals 15 4 points on two different occasions, passing Suzi McCaffrey’s 28 points Turnovers 24 9 over Towson State in 1983, and the freshman season record with 412 Turnover Margin +15 -14 points, besting Micahya Owens’ 411 in 2013-14. That total makes her Blocks 5 1 one of seven freshmen in program history to score 300 points and one of two at 400+. Fouls 26 14 The Perth, Australia native led the Explorers last season in scoring and registered 10+ points in 21 games including her final 11. Claire has also dropped 15+ in 14 games and 20+ in five. She finished second among all rookies in the Atlantic 10 with 13.7 ppg and eighth overall. In A-10 play only, Jacobs ended eighth overall and second among rookies with 15.4. Her rookie performance landed her on the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team and Second Team All-Big 5.

2019-20 HISTORY LESSON Head coach Mountain MacGillivray’s second season was filled with records. La Salle started 6-1 on the campaign for its best start since the 2006-07 season when it started 7-0. STANDINGS as of games played 1/9 For the first time in program history, the Explorers swept Saint Joseph’s in the regular season. The victory inside Hagan Arena on 2/15/10 was the TEAM A-10 REC. OVERALL first inside that building for La Salle since 1988. Dayton 3-0 4-1 The Blue & Gold’s come-from-behind win over Penn St. on 11/17/19 was the VCU 2-0 4-5 first ever victory over the Lady Lions in program history and also signified Saint Joseph’s 1-0 3-0 the first over a Power 5 team since 11/29/15 when the Explorers topped UMass 3-1 7-2 Miami, 71-68, and the first over a Big Ten team since 12/22/88 when the Fordham 3-1 6-2 Blue & Gold downed Northwestern, 69-67. Davidson 3-1 6-4 Rhode Island 2-2 2-5 MOVING ON UP Richmond 1-1 4-3 Senior Haleigh Hill and junior Molly Masciantonio are playing DI basketball after stints at lower levels. Hill jumped to the Division I ranks from Duquesne 1-2 2-5 Dodge City Community College last season, while Masciantonio will make Saint Louis 0-0 2-0 her DI debut this season after transferring from DII Holy Family last year.
