The A’s are 11-2 against American League West competition and 2-8 against everyone else…are 1-6 in this 10-game stretch against the AL East (0-3 vs. Tampa Bay, 1-2 at Boston, 0-1 vs. Baltimore). Jarrod Parker has lost each of his first four decisions, which is the longest losing streak of his career (previous: 3, August 1-19, 2012). A’s starting pitchers are 5-8 with a 6.12 ERA (58 er in 85.1 ip) over the last 16 games…that includes 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA (4 er in 20.0 ip) in three starts by Bartolo Colón and 3-8 with a 7.44 ERA (54 er in 65.1 ip) by everyone else. The Orioles have won 101 consecutive regular season games when leading after seven innings…according to the Elias Sports Bureau, that is the second longest streak for any team since 1961 (116, New York-AL, 1998-99)…their last loss when leading after seven was August 8, 2011.
