Nowadays, the development of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) has been rapidly growing and their use tends to be consolidated. Although BIM technology is widely known and used, there is a lack of integrated open source platforms able to support all stages of Historic Building Information Modelling (HBIM) processes. The present research aims to use a FOSS CAD environment in order to develop BIM plug-ins which will be able to import and edit digital representations of cultural heritage models derived by photogrammetric methods. 1. INTRODUCTION: FROM CAD TO BIM 2. BIM models face the object entity not only as a graphic symbol but as an integrated entity allowing different level of information (geometric and non- geometric) to be included as well as pointing the relations among all the items of the model (Czmocha and Pekala, 2014). Thus allowing BIM to be considered as the next generation of the CAD systems. JavaScript Anyone developing for the web needs to know JavaScript. I am familiar with the Flask back end with Jinja, Bootstrap, JQuery, as well as the excellent Tabulator library for tables. Currently (2020/21) my free time is spent on a couple of entertainment related side projects using this stack. Linux I have been using Ubuntu as my main computing system for over 10 years, both in the cloud (DigitalOcean) and on my Laptop.

After attending Arizona State University, Riddle went to work for a steel fabricator where he had his first exposure to CAD. The company had a $250,000 Computervision system that, although capable of 3D work, was used strictly for 2D drafting. The company was engaged in doing steel detailing for the Palo Verde nuclear power plant in Arizona. Riddle felt that anything they were doing on this project with the Computervision system could be done on a microcomputer-based system.
