IFSC has two categories of awards, Service Awards and Members Appreciation Awards. The Service Awards are for members that have supported IFSC for many years in critical areas, such as Board positions or critical functions at the annual Ski Sale and Festival. This award has three lev- els, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. The selection committee is made up of Platinum award winners and the Club President. The Member Appreciation award is provided to volunteers for their exceptional work. The President selects a special awards committee to review candidates and make a selec- tion. All committees follow the IFSC Awards Policy in making their selection. The awards are presented at the IFSC Spring Social, which is in April every year.

IFSC has three Social events every year: Falls Kickoff Par- ty, Festival at the Ski Sale and Festival, and the Spring Par- ty. My name is Jessika Jenson. I am a local 22 year old snowboarder from Rigby, Idaho making my way to the Olympics in 2014. I graduated from Rigby High School in 2009 with a 3.96 GPA. In May of 2012, I signed with the U.S. Snowboarding Team for Women’s Slopestyle (http://ussnowboarding.com/athletes/jessika-jenson). I was one of three women across the U.S. selected to be on the team. I have been competing and training on the first ever U.S. Women’s Snowboarding Slopestyle Team and have a good shot at making it onto the Olympic Team. Two to four girls will be selected to the Olympic Team. I am one of nine USA girls eligible for the 2014 Olympics. I need to attend the four Olympic Qualifying events this season: Dew Tour (Breckenridge, CO), U.S. Grand Prix (Copper, CO), U.S. Grand Prix (Northstar, CA), and U.S. Grand Prix (Mammoth, CA). The Olympic team will be chosen January 19th about 2 weeks prior to the games. For more information about my snowboarding (photos/videos, results, and upcoming schedule) you can check out my blog: www.wix.com/wakensnowboardgirl/jessikajenson Nordic Trips 11 KELLY CANYON IFSC Reservation Deadline: Dec. 14 (Sat) This is an alpine trip that can accom- WARMING HUTS SETUP after that lodging availability may be modate Nordic skiers.
