By Train The nearest main line railway stations with taxi rank facilities are Cambridge and Royston; please see www.nationalrail.co.uk for further information, timetables and fares. Taxi fares are approximately £20.00 each way from Cambridge and £15.00 each way from Royston.

There is also a railway station at Whittlesford Parkway, taxis MUST be pre-booked if you intend to use this station. Taxi fares from Whittlesford are approximately £7 each way (please call South Cambs Taxi on 01223 834 858).

By Foot or Bike If you choose to walk or cycle to IWM Duxford please be cautious since the A505 is a very busy road.

By Air (inc. helicopter) IWM Duxford airfield is operational year-round. The airfield is strictly PPR: please contact the Tower on 01223 833 376 during operating hours and visit the IWM Duxford website for opening times.

IWM Duxford has one hard runway (paved - asphalt/concrete - 06/24 1222m x 45m TORA 1222m) and one grass runway (unpaved - grass - 06/24 880m x 30m LDA 880m TORA 880m). Please note that a landing fee will be payable upon arrival in the Visitor Centre.

Please allow 20 minutes to complete all necessary paperwork and walk to the Conference Centre.

Airport The nearest public airport is London Stansted, www.stanstedairport.com. Stansted is approximately 20 minutes by car (Junction 8, M11), or a 20 minute train journey with Stansted Express to Cambridge, www.stanstedexpress.com. London Luton, www.london-luton.co.uk, is a 45 minute journey by car.

The AirSpace Conference Centre has its own reception and car park: Approaching from all directions, follow the brown heritage signs for Imperial War Museum Duxford. Enter the Museum via the visitor car park. Upon entering the car park, KEEP LEFT and follow signs for the ‘Conference Centre’ leading around the back of AirSpace. The entrance to the Conference Centre is at the end of the car park on the right-hand side.

Please note: Do not park in the dedicated coach parking bays. Additional parking is in the visitor car park. There is no overnight parking at IWM Duxford.
