FERNANDO RODRIGUEZ • Began the season on the disabled list as he continued his recovery from Tommy John surgery…was placed on the 15-day DL March 29 retroactive to March 21. • Went 1-0 with a 1.04 ERA on an eight-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento from April 3 to 28…was reinstated from the DL and optioned to Sacramento April 29. • Was 1-0 with a 0.73 ERA in 11 appearances with Sacramento when he was recalled by the A’s on May 9. • Made his A’s debut May 9 against Washington (1.0 ip, 1 h, 1 so)…it was his first Major League ap- pearance since Oct. 3, 2012 at Chicago (NL). • Logged a 1.13 ERA in six relief appearances before he was optioned back to Sacramento June 1. JOE SAVERY • Was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento May 9 and appeared in just three games without allowing a run (4.0 ip, 3 h, 1 bb) before he was optioned back to Sacramento May 18.
