East and presents Zambartas . Expressions of Cypriot .

Try a new wave of from , an ancient wine producing island in the Eastern Mediterranean. We have selected the wines from the Zambartas Family.

Zambartas Wineries was established in 2006. With the wealth of knowledge and experience of father Akis and the modern Australian training of son Marcos, the focus was on creating quality wines that express the identity of Cypriot and varieties.

Since then the has become one of the leading wineries of the island, and greatly contributed to the current modern revival of the Cypriot wine industry. Marcos Zambartas and his wife Marleen run the winery with a team of young and dedicated people.

Marcos makes a conscious effort in preserving and promoting the indigenous varieties of the island, such as Xynisteri, Maratheftiko and Yiannoudi. Besides planting new vineyards, he loves saving the unique centenarian vineyards that thrive on Cyprus’ dry chalky soils.

The Zambartas family takes great value in a balanced relationship with nature, and therefore applies organic practices on the 11 hectares of owned and rented vineyards and strives for circular production methods.
