S Saksham Kumar Jha | B.Tech. (Hons.) in Computer Science and Engineering - Verified Batch of 2024 Reviewed on 3 Jul 2021 4.6 Placements 4 Infrastructure 4 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 5 It is absolutely a good place to pursue computer science and engineering in . Placements: As the first batch was passed out in 2021, the placements were provided in various MNCs. The majority of students got placed in companies like TCS, Tata Cliq, etc.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 23-Sep-2021. Roles offered were SDEs in these companies. Students also got internships when pursuing their course.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are top-notch here. Twin sharing rooms are provided to students who are pursuing undergraduate courses with basic amenities such as high-speed Wi-Fi, cleanliness, etc. The food served in the mess is also good with hygienic conditions. Medical facilities are also available here. Faculty: Faculty members here are highly qualified as all of them hold doctorates from high- ranked institutions across and the world. The course curriculum is relevant and is updated in accordance with the current industry requirements and standards. The teaching quality is really good here. Other: I chose this course as the course curriculum seems very updated to me with good topics to study, which makes students ready for every situation. The course is regularly updated, which is a good thing.

5.0 Placements 5 Infrastructure 5 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 5 I am satisfied with the course and good placements provided here. Placements: Summer internships and final placements are provided in good numbers here. In 2021, for final year students, the highest number of placements were offered in the consulting sector (which is 31% of students), followed by systems (which is 21% of students), marketing (which is 20% of students), BFSI (which is 17% of students) and other sectors. Infrastructure: Our college has good facilities, along with Wi-Fi, stationery shop, multiple food outlets and photocopy shop within the campus. The academic building has good infrastructural facilities. Hostels are cleaned daily, and security personnel is available 24x7 for the need of the students. Faculty: XIMB has a good number of well-qualified faculty members. The curriculum of the courses offered is relevant with respect to placement scenarios. The teachers are always available to clear doubts and provide support to do extra courses when required.

Disclaimer: This PDF is auto-generated based on the information available on Shiksha as on 23-Sep-2021. It is unworthy of spending money and 3 years of your college life here. Placements: There is no placement committee, so there are no placements from the university for any student under any undergraduate programme. Deans and other upper management guarantees and have announcements of the same. No company wants to come for placements, and there is no action taken by the management either. The least concerning matter is for the administration.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are good and well-maintained by staff members. A huge collection of books is available in the library, but it is quite unorganised to find a particular book. Wi-Fi is stable, but it cannot be relied on in several places across the campus. The mess is bad. Mess management keeps changing due to internal conflicts with the management. Administration compulsorily imposes students to pay the mess fee in advance if you are a resident of the hostel, irrespective of the fact if students want to consume meals. Almost 80% of the students pay the fee and consume either out of compulsion of payment or consume at other eateries on the campus because of the horrific quality. Faculty: The college has a good team of faculty members in the beginning years and for the batches before us. The quality of faculty members and teaching is only deteriorated over the years, with the college turning into a poor government school where there is no assurance of classes, no notification of faculty members conducting class, no seriousness regarding exams and no action taken by the administration over repeated feedback. The only concern and communication from the administration are when they are to receive fees from the students. Other: The biggest misconception that most outstation students from our batch and amongst our seniors was that XUB is XIMB, which is the prestigious MBA college in . The university has now rolled out new programs in UG as well. It may be a relative college of XIMB and comes under the same administration. Still, it's a completely far off campus located in a deserted, rural and isolated village in Khurdha with no connectivity of any sort to restaurants, convenience stores or markets. However, the management is inclined to benefit from this misrepresentation of the college with the name of Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar. This year has changed the name of the university from XUB to XIM University to leverage more outstation students. Xamboree is the only appreciable event in the entire year, which is conducted by PG. Hence UG students have quite a minimal role in that. The quality of faculty members in UG is simply incomparable to the teachers for PG courses and in XIMB. Many students believed that UG too would have excellent faculty members.

A Ananya Das | MBA in Business Management - Batch of 2022 Verified Reviewed on 7 Jul 2020 4.8 Placements 5 Infrastructure 4 Faculty & Course Curriculum 5 Crowd & Campus Life 5 Quite satisfied with the experience and opportunities of XIMB. Placements: In 2020, XIMB had the highest domestic package of 26LPA, and median salary stood at 15LPA. We had 55 new recruiters among 107 total recruiters. We even saw a rise in the summer placements statistics from 2019. Median stipend for summer placement was 70k. Infrastructure: Infrastructure and hostel are good. However, hostels are not air- conditioned and mostly use the common washroom, except a few. Classrooms, Labs, Auditorium are air-conditioned and well-equipped with modern facilities. Lush green campus is located at close proximity to the airport, bus stop and train station. Faculty: The course is quite rigorous, especially the first term, which I feel is somewhat necessary to build successful managers of the future. The faculty members are highly qualified and very helpful. We have guest lecturers and motivational speakers. Various B- School competitions are organised in XIMB campus. Other: The BM course of XIMB is quite reputed, and it gives the option to experience all specializations in the first year and then choose the specific major in the second year. This gives a holistic view of all the domains. XIMB has several clubs and committees and celebrates fests and B-School events quite lavishly.

High-speed Wi-Fi available all over the campus. Labs and classroom are good and clean. Library is huge and available most of the time. Mess is good and canteen facility also available. There a lot of sports and games options available. Faculty: Quality of teachers are also good. Well qualified teachers are available and they also give proper time. Placements: Each and every student of the batch has a job in hand by the end of the placement season. There are some great companies coming to the campus followed by some decent ones. Everyone has an equal opportunity. There is an assortment of companies looking for various profiles. Infrastructure: It is fully residential course. The infrastructure will take you down the memory lane when the college was built. Most of it is a renovated old infrastructure that gives you the heritage vibe. Everything has a story attached to it. Although, the admin has tried to update the Infra from time to time. Faculty: The course curriculum is good just like every other good MBA college. Some faculty members are amazing, some are not much but in the end an MBA is so much more about holistic development than just the classroom teaching. You get plenty of opportunities to shine in various domains.

Other: The campus culture is the best part of campus life. There are so many traditions and activities to bolster harmony among everyone. The legacy continues to build year on year.

The mess has options for meal and ala care and there is night mess available tim 2 AM. The food like any other hostel is average. Medical service is available, doctor is present there every evening and there is a sick room available as well. Recently, the international center was inaugurated. It has dedicated badminton court and a basketball court. The college has a huge basketball court, 2 gymnasiums, tennis court and badminton court and a football ground.

Faculty: Some of the faculty members are extremely qualified. We have visiting faculty members from XLRI as well. Also, XIMB faculty members visit the new campus to teach HR students. There are amazing learning opportunities here. Except some, there are some industry leaders who conduct workshops and classes in the second year that gives better insights into how the industry works.

Other: I chose the course because I wanted to pursue a specialised course in HRM and the course structure and design of XAHR is in accordance with SHRM. I wish that the school gets accredited soon. Also, the dean in trying to rope in better faculty members this academic year. We have our annual fest Xamboree, there are a lot of committees which students can join to keep themselves engaged and add value. You will make some amazing friends here, the crowd is curious and competitive. The campus is huge, amazing and the city is around 18kms. There is a bus stop right outside the campus, from where you can get a bus to the city every half an hour. You can also track the bus via an app called MObus.

Yes the course curriculum is relevant benchmarking with top Iims and thus making us industry ready but the final toll has to paid by the students only to mould themselves according to the changing world. Other: I choose HR because I am interested in recruitment and selection. The best thing is we get to form the company in bits and pieces and what HR's do is the most important background work in making or breaking the company. As of now there is no suggestions from my side to improve this course as this is self sufficient. Our college also sponsors gamuts of events, fests that are facilitated by different student committees. In short here are a variety of opportunities to increase our extra curricular activities.
