What Is Ozone Therapy? Foundation for Alternative Science & Technology Bio-oxidative therapies: Oxygen, Ozone & H2O2 August 1996 edited by M.H.T.Evers Foundation for Alternative Science & Technology (FAST) in cooperation with Ozone Services presents an edited collection of articles downloaded from Internet. Warning!!! The document is for informational purposes only. It is not intented as medical advice. Always consult a qualified physician before using any of the therapies mentioned in this document The chemical substances used in bio-oxidative therapies can be dangerous if not used properly. Put your message through, FAST’ The Foundation for Alternative Science & Technology (FAST) is a Dutch organization of volunteers. Most of the work presented by this organization is considered suppressed research that could possibly change our lifes for the better. From a methodological point of view most of this research is of an excellent scientific quality. However, todays sciencifical establishment does hardly pay any attention to this research. There a several possible reasons for the neglection, ranging from intended supression to unawareness of this kind of research. We consider it our goal to make researches all over the world aware of these developments in science. Hopefully this will support to the ending of the suppression of excellent research and pave way for a real debate on these subjects. We only presents some unorthodox, though excellent, views on science, technology and its advancement. The judgement whether the claims made by the authors of the different papers are of major scientific interest, is left to the reader. We believe the reader is entitled to make his own conclusions. Since much more is done for the progress of science by sceptism than by guilability, we encourage you to be skeptical. But try to keep an open mind. “Question authority, there are no experts”. - Wilhelm Reich Maurice H.T. A grayish haze hangs over the entire metropolitan area, and the air tastes gritty and stale. Young children and adults with lung problems are told to stay indoors, because ozone can aggravate allergies, bronchitis, asthma and other health problems. That's because when combined with carbon dioxide, peroxyacetyl nitrate and other gases (caused by auto exhaust, factories and power plants), ozone becomes a dangerous pollutant. It can not only damage the sensitive surfaces of the respiratory tract and the lungs, but also corrodes buildings and monuments. It can kill the leaves of the trees and also damages crops. In large urban centers like Los Angeles, Sao Paulo and Mexico City, ozone-laden smog has become a major threat to human health. It is no wonder why so many people have negative feelings about it. Yet at a clinic on West 72nd Street in the heart of Manhattan, the treatment room is filled with patients who are paying up to $100 to have ozone and oxygen infused into their veins. They believe that ozone will help heal them of cancer, heart disease, candida, HIV-related problems and a host of other diseases. Over ten million people have been treated in Europe with ozone, and many swear by its' safety and effectiveness. There are few elements that have been as controversial as ozone, and none that have created such a medical paradox: how can a gas be both dangerous to health as a pollutant, yet can also be used to effectively treat some of humanity's most threatening diseases? Ozone: The Basics Ozone is an elemental form of oxygen occurring naturally in the Earth's atmosphere, it surrounds the Earth at an altitude of between 50,000 and 100,000 feet.1 As a pale blue gas that condenses to a deep blue liquid at very low temperatures, it is created in nature when ultraviolet energy causes oxygen atoms to temporarily recombine in groups of three. Ozone is also formed by the action of electrical discharges on oxygen, so it is often created by thunder and lightning. When we go outside after a thunderstorm, the air seems to smell like freshly-mown hay. This is due to the small quantities of ozone generated by the storm. Ozone is also produced commercially in ozone generators, which involve sending an electrical discharge through a specially-built condenser containing oxygen. Because it is made up of three atoms of oxygen, ozone is known chemically as O3. The newly-formed molecule is quick to react with other substances. Then occurring in the upper atmosphere, ozone forms a protective layer that absorbs much of the sun's ultraviolet radiation, which can cause mutation, cancer, sunburn, immunosuppression and other problems. If it were not for the ozone layer, the survival of animal and plant life on this planet would be impossible. The depletion of the ozone layer by the use of 3 chloroflourocarbons (CFC's), mostly released into the atmosphere by refrigerators, air conditioner and aerosol containers is of grave concern to scientists and physicians the world over. In addition to the health roblems just mentioned, ultraviolet radiation has also been cited as a actor in poor crop growth, such as certain species of grains. After many years of study and a considerable degree of procrastination on the part of industry and government, efforts are finally being made to phase out the use of CFC's completely within the next few decades.* However, ozone becomes a pollutant in the lower atmosphere when hydrocarbons (like carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide) from vehicular exhaust and other sources combine with ozone in sunlight, creating photochemical smog. As a result, new and often highly corrosive pollutants are formed. The number of possible chemical reactions that can occur when ozone is combined with these oxides can reach into the hundreds. The effects of ozone-laden smog has been linked to acid rain, a variety of lung-related diseases and the oxidation of buildings and monuments, especially in cities where smog is frequent. Scientific studies in this country have emphasized the negative effects of ozone on breathing.

Unconventional Cancer Treatments September 1990 OTA-H-405 NTIS order #PB91-104893 Recommended Citation: U.S. Congress, Office of Technology Assessment, Unconventional Cancer Treatments, OTA-H-405 (Washington, DC: U.S. Government Printing Office, September 1990). For sale by the Superintendent of Documents U.S. Government Printing OffIce, Washington, DC 20402-9325 (order form can be found in the back of this report) Foreword A diagnosis of cancer can transform abruptly the lives of patients and those around them, as individuals attempt to cope with the changed circumstances of their lives and the strong emotions evoked by the disease. While mainstream medicine can improve the prospects for long-term survival for about half of the approximately one million Americans diagnosed with cancer each year, the rest will die of their disease within a few years. There remains a degree of uncertainty and desperation associated with “facing the odds” in cancer treatment. To thousands of patients, mainstream medicine’s role in cancer treatment is not sufficient. Instead, they seek to supplement or supplant conventional cancer treatments with a variety of treatments that exist outside, at varying distances from, the bounds of mainstream medical research and practice. The range is broad—from supportive psychological approaches used as adjuncts to standard treatments, to a variety of practices that reject the norms of mainstream medical practice. To many patients, the attractiveness of such unconventional cancer treatments may stem in part from the acknowledged inadequacies of current medically-accepted treatments, and from the too frequent inattention of mainstream medical research and practice to the wider dimensions of a cancer patient’s concerns.

  • Conventional Treatment of Cancer Realities and Problems
Review Article Annals of Complementary and Alternative Medicine Published: 07 Nov, 2018 Conventional Treatment of Cancer Realities and Problems Christo Atanasov Damyanov*, Ivan Konstantinov Maslev, Vladimir Stoianov Pavlov and Latchezar Avramov Department of Medicine, Medical Center for Integrative Medicine, Bulgaria Abstract Statistical data exhibits the fact that cancer decease and the effectiveness of its treatment remain an unsolved problem which is becoming more and more extensive not only in medical but also in social and economic spheres globally. It becomes obvious that conventional medicine in treatment of cancer meets neither the contemporary requirements nor the patients’ expectations. Massive publicity campaign of the target therapy making efforts to substitute the system chemotherapy took place of late years. Huge investments in this new sphere were made in order to meet the high expectations. Clinical experience and medical expertise, on the contrary, do not demonstrate prolonged life expectancy more than a few months however; this takes place with valid side effects and at high cost of the target therapy treatment. Serious and deeper cost-effectiveness analysis leads to a conclusion that most of the agents applied in target therapy do not correspond to conventional range of cost effectiveness. Significant investments in molecular biology advancement and development of genetics make immense progress and widen the scope of human knowledge in tumor biology. Unfortunately, despite that science progress, oncology follows the beaten track satisfied with prolonged patients’ longevity only in terms of a few months and keeping an eye on the illusory effect of the treatment. The current scientific survey aims at summarizing known and less known facts illustrating the opportunities, problems and efficiency of the conventional treatment of cancer.

The Beat Lives On HOME ABOUT US CONTACT SUBSCRIBERS ARCHIVE The Beat Lives On Almost 30 years after Bob Marley died of metastatic melanoma, new research is shedding light on the disease By Sue Rochman No one could have predicted that the music that mirrored and shaped the counterculture spirit of the 1970s would emerge from the Trench Town ghetto SIDEBAR in Kingston, Jamaica. Yet that’s where the rhythmic, body-rocking music known as reggae was both born and would find a worldwide messenger in the The Melanoma Mnemonic charismatic, dreadlocked Rastafarian Nesta Robert “Bob” Marley. Keep an eye out for moles with these traits. The son of a white English Jamaican father and an Afro-Jamaican mother, Marley was born on Feb. 6, 1945, in St. Ann Parish, Jamaica, and raised alongside the Jamaican struggle for independence. A Caribbean island that passed from Spanish to British rule, Jamaica remained controlled by others until 1962, when it achieved the right to self-governance. By then, Marley was living in Trench Town, where he and his mother had moved after his father’s death in 1955, spending his days in jam sessions with other young Jamaican musicians. As a teenager, Marley, along with Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh, formed a ska and rocksteady band called the Teenagers. As the Wailers, they recorded their first album, Catch a Fire, in 1972. By this time, the band had expanded to include backup vocalists known as the I- Threes—Rita Marley (Bob Marley’s wife), Judy Mowatt and Marcia Griffiths. In 1974, the group released the hit single “No Woman, No Cry.” The next year, Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer quit the band—leaving Bob Marley to recruit new musicians.

Alternative Clinics (Metabolic Therapy) (Cliniche straniere che eseguono TERAPIA METABOLICA ) Mexican Clinics Please note that over the last year several Mexican Clinics have been temporarily closed. Some are allowed to re-open either completely or with some restrictions on what services they can provide. Bio-Pulse and Century Nutrition were shut down in March 2001. For more information on these closures, see Peter Chowka's article on Natural Healthline's website. We understand that many of the health inspectors in Mexico about this time were fired and replaced. Apparently any clinic that does not have the appropriate permits will be closed. If we hear about any other closures, we will post the information on this page. Other clinics impacted have been: St. Jude (Jimmy Keller's clinic), Century Nutrition may be prohibited from providing some therapies. American Metabolics and American Biologics were temporarily shut down, but they they all reopened. If any hospital is using "unproven" approaches or does not have all the proper permits, they may be temporarily shut down to get the proper permits. Any of the clinics that are found to have their papers in order could potentially resume offering alternative therapies if the Mexican federal government approves their requests to conduct experimental treatments. We have heard that they would be limited to a small number of patients and could not charge the patients for experimental treatments. We have not confirmed this. See our January Newsletter for a write up on why people go to Mexican Clinics. If you do go to this clinic for treatment, be sure to let us know about your experience.

LIVING LEGACY: THE WORKS OF GENIUS Josef M Issels MD Nov 21, 1907 - Feb 11, 1998 Dr. Josef Issels is regarded throughout the world as the Father of Integrative Medicine . His "Hypothesis of the Pathogenesis of Cancer, Chronic, and Degenerative Diseases" is the algorithmic template which guides the integration of alternative, complementary, and standard treatments by physicians. Two independent retrospective epidemiological reviews confirmed that Issels consistently cured many exhaustively pretreated and hopelessly advanced cancer patients during his forty years as head of a hospital for incurable cancer patients. The focus of integrative medical care is the individual patient – the implementation is two-fold, comprising 1) both standard and unconventional methods directed at the elimination of malignant cells as well as 2) a system of non-specific immunological treatment modalities aimed at the restoration of the internal milieu and enhancement of the natural defense and repair mechanisms of the whole person.
