It’s ultra smooth putting surfaces are a treat to play for all golfers especially masters of the “flatstick.” After golf eat, drink and relax in Colonial Heritage’s magnificent Clubhouse modeled after British architecture of the colonial era. Kiskiack Golf Club From the moment you arrive on the first tee, you’ll begin to realize why Kiskiack is so unique. The course’s beautiful surroundings will allow you to unwind, the spectacular views will inspire you, and the challenging layout will awaken your spirit. Set along the ridge of a natural bluff, Kiskiack offers a great day of golf for players of all skill levels. The Golf Club at Viniterra This Rees Jones design is generous off the tee but requires attention when playing approach shots; the greens are sloped and well bunkered. Errant iron shots will test the short game but ultra-smooth A-4 bent grass putting surfaces keep par saving putts online. Rolling terrain with moderate elevation changes, beautiful pine forests and several landmark oaks add additional character to this soon to be well known design! www.VirginiaGolfVacations.com • 1-877-806-8163 7 WILLIAMSBURG Golf Courses Fords Colony Blackheath Fords Colony’s most picturesque golf course, the Blackheath, is also Fords Colony’s most challenging. Water hazards come into play on thirteen holes; several doglegs require attention from the tee and well bunkered greens. Blackheath’s eighteenth is one of Williamsburg’s most popular holes. A medium length par four with a narrow fairway bordered by a lake that encircles the green creating a scenic island green finish, the perfect setting for closing hole drama in a tight match! Fords Colony Blue Heron Fords Colony’s Blue Heron course is set among dense Virginia wetlands, a unique setting for golf that is also home to a variety of wildlife. Marsh Hawks searching for prey provide plenty of inspiration throughout your round. The Blue Heron received new greens in 2013! The New Champion Bermuda putting surfaces are the only one of its kind in the Williamsburg area and a fantastic playing surface that you have to see for yourself. Fords Colony Marsh Hawk The Marsh Hawk course is Fords Colony’s original course and a very interesting layout that annually hosted the PGA tour qualifier for the Michelob Championship as well as several Virginia State Opens. Booming drives are the norm with several elevated tee boxes played to fairways framed with Dan Maples signature bunkers. Undulated greens require accurate iron play and deft touch with the putter. Take advantage of unlimited play promotions through Virginia Golf Vacations at Fords Colony. 8 www.VirginiaGolfVacations.com • 1-877-806-8163 WILLIAMSBURG Golf Courses Golden Horseshoe Gold Course The Golden Horseshoe Gold Course’s history is intertwined with the history of golf. Golden Horseshoe Green Course Opening in 1991, the Green course was designed by Rees Jones, son of Gold Course architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. In 1992 Golf Digest selected the Green course as one of it’s five best new resort courses.
