DIRECTOR'S NOTES Dancing through the Decades! This is the perfect title for this year's concert celebrating Gonzaga's 125th Anniversary! We are so thrilled to celebrate this anniversary with the short films we will show you in-between the dance pieces. As you will see, connecting the dance trends of the times with Gonzaga's history and various locations was not only educational but a lot of fun. We are so proud of our dance program, which began its current incarnation in 2000. Each year it grows with the enthusiasm of the students. What a thrill to have performances by our academic classes including Jazz, Ballet, Modern, Musical Theatre and Choreography. You will also see student work from our participation in our Regional Academic Dance Conference, ACDF, as well as other student projects. Looking back during a big anniversary such as this is natural, but we are also looking forward to the future of the dance program. Ours is a future that includes becoming a Theatre and Dance Department (as opposed to a program), more exciting classes next year and perhaps YOUR involvement. Consider it, as all are welcome. Enjoy!
