Greenwich is traditionally a day visit destination and we need to turn that day visit into a staying visit. We need visitors to stay longer and spend more, in line with our Destination Management Plan and objectives (see DMP Executive Summary at the end of this brief) to grow the visitor economy. There is a wonderful mix of old and new, lots of stories to tell and lots of experiences that visitors need to be aware of to make their visit richer and brings them coming back time after time. For example, why just come to a concert at The O2 when you can climb its roof then take a trip on the river to stand astride the Prime Meridian?
