Season 2015/16 was yet another successful one and we have continued to build as a club both on Bowling and off the field. Congratulations to our 1st Grade and U14s teams for winning their respective Premierships. O M W R M.Wright 12.5 5 5 22 We had some great times this summer, notably a highly successful Trivia Night being held in N.Ring 10 4 3 22 February with a crowd of over 150 in attendance. Many thanks to Ben Quilty for hosting the night N.Wright 5 3 2 5 and a massive thank you to all the individuals and businesses in the local community who made donations for prizes and/or attended the night.

We have also been invited to participate in a ‘Cancer Council NSW Healthy Sport Initiative’, a 3 year program designed to educate and help our Club in areas such as Sun Protection, Healthy Eating and Club Management. We look forward to improving these areas as a club over the next few seasons.

Thanks again to all our Sponsors who are all featured in this Yearbook. Please support them as they enable us to keep our registration, ball fees and clothing costs amongst the lowest in the HDCA. Thanks also to Fiona Angel and Geoff Goodfellow for supplying action photos for this Yearbook.

Finally, I would like to thank every individual involved in this club. From our Milo T20 Cricket kids and their parents, Junior players, coaches, managers, scorers and parents, up to the Senior teams and captains, it truly is a great atmosphere here and one that I hope continues for many years to come. Everyone works together, supports and appreciates each others successes (and sometimes failures) on the field, and we have a Club like no other.

Enjoy the winter break, but bring on Season 2016/17!

* HDCA 1st Grade One Day Premiers (Won 7, Lost 0, Draw 1) The season started with 7 players on a Saturday morning against Bundanoon. * HDCA 1st Grade Minor Premiers However we quickly picked up players each week and by the end of the season had a full team. The boys improved their skills each week and learnt to play the McDonalds Country Cup; game in the correct spirit with an emphasis on fun. Round 1 - BYE Round 2 vs. Wollongong CC at Tourist Rd Oval- Lost by 2 Runs Hopefully everyone enjoyed their cricket and will be back next season. The team showed great improvement and with a large number of players being eligible for Grand Final; vs. Wingello at Bradman Oval March 19 & 20 - Won by 189 runs the Under 12's again Robertson-Burrawang should have a competitive team for

the future.

Captain’s Comments; Thanks must go to Tania Denney for scoring each week, Ben Quilty for umpiring Another great season for the 1st Grade boys. To go through the HDCA season undefeated when I was unavailable and all other parents for their support throughout the is a fantastic effort - maybe even the first time a senior team has done this in the club’s year. history. A shame about our early exit in the Country Cup, but all in all a very good year, a great team effort and most of all great blokes & mates. Adam Kich

Captain’s Comments; Another enjoyable year, unfortunately we left our worst game of the year until our semi-final. Minor Premiers and One Day Champions is still a great achievement but even though we failed to make the Grand Final we should all still hold our heads up high. It was a privilege to captain such a diverse group of guys, a few of which deserve a special mention:

Damian McMillan – I’ve never played with a harder working cricketer, such an inspiration.

Woodsy, Clewett and Timmy – enjoyed your company – very entertaining.

The under 14 players that played with us were terrific, often holding our batting together. Espe- cially Riley Hurford, one of our stalwarts, playing almost every game. These players are the future of our club and will be the base of our First Grade in years to come.

My last mention goes to the retiring Ian “Braddy” Bradburn – the most experienced played ever. It was great to have your input throughout the year. We should aspire to play the game the way you do. Thanks again for another great year.
