Société Industrielle de Mécanique et Carroserie Automobile) fu una casa automobilistica e motociclistica francese, fondata a Nanterre nel 1935 da Enrico Teodoro Pigozzi e definitivamente dismessa nel 1990. Storia I primi sviluppi della Simca furono strettamente legati a quelli della Fiat, che infatti vendette in Francia con la dicitura Fiat France. Già dall'anno seguente la Simca raggiunse una maggiore autonomia ed iniziò a vendere con il nome di Fiat Simca, le vetture erano comunque chiaramente derivanti dalla casa torinese. I primi modelli furono la Simca 5 e la Simca 6, che riprendevano la Fiat 500 Topolino nelle versioni B e C e la Simca 8 derivante invece dalla 508C Balilla. Nel 1939, su commissione del Governo francese, l'azienda produsse anche una motocicletta, la "350 TAF", destinata ad uso militare. Dopo l'interruzione della produzione a causa del conflitto mondiale la casa italo-francese iniziò dal 1948 il progetto di una nuova vettura che vide la luce nel 1951, era la prima Simca totalmente francese e si chiamava Simca 9 Aronde, ovvero rondine in italiano. La prima serie dell'Aronde, la cui produzione si arrestò nel 1959 riuscì a vendere circa un milione di vetture, con un'ampia distribuzione nel mercato statunitense. La Simca conobbe in questi anni un grande sviluppo con l'acquisizione della Talbot, di UNIC, di SOMECA e di Ford SAF, diventando la seconda casa francese, dietro Renault. La casa di Nanterre iniziò quindi la produzione di una vettura di classe superiore: la Simca Vedette che derivava da un precedente modello Ford. Il successo della Simca non mancò di interessare altre grosse case, in particolare Chrysler che iniziò un lento assimilamento delle azioni francesi a partire dal 1958. Per inserirsi nel settore delle utilitarie la Simca chiese la collaborazione della Fiat che progettò una piccola e moderna quattro porte, la Simca 1000, presentata nel 1961 al Salone di Parigi. Alla metà degli anni sessanta dopo la morte di Pigozzi, sostituito da Georges Hereil, la FIAT cedette le proprie azioni alla Chrysler che raggiunse la quota maggioritaria del 65% e si pose alla guida dell'azienda che, in quel momento, era particolarmente fiorente, dato il successo commerciale del modello "1000" e l'avanzata fase di prototipale della "1100" che si laureò nel 1972 auto più venduta in Francia. Non mancarono, però, i problemi, determinati dall'abbandono del ruolo di direttore tecnico da parte di Rudolf Hruska che preferì accettare l'offerta dell'Alfa Romeo, seguito dall'intero staff tecnico. Ma nel frattempo era già arrivata la fine per il marchio francese. Infatti nel 1970 la Chrysler che ormai possedeva il 99% della Simca, rilevò totalmente il marchio che divenne Chrysler France. Per sostituire la Simca 1500, in produzione dal 1970 al 1973 il neonato marchio franco-americano mise in produzione la Simca 160/180 che tuttavia non ebbe il successo sperato. La sostituzione della 1500 avvenne invece nel 1975, con la Chrysler Simca 1307-1308 che venne insignita l'anno seguente del premio "Auto dell'anno". Le grave crisi finanziaria e produttiva che segnò le sorti della casa madre statunitense nella seconda metà degli anni settanta era condivisa anche dalla filiale europea, dove i soli modelli francesi della Simca ottenevano un buon successo di vendite, a fronte di un mancato gradimento del mercato europeo dei modelli concepiti oltreoceano. La crisi si accentuò talmente che la Chrysler France, nel 1978, venne acquisita dal Gruppo PSA, il quale decise di sopprimere il marchio Simca, dal 1980, allo scopo di non creare concorrenza interna al gruppo, già possessore della Peugeot e della Citroën. Il Gruppo PSA diede comunque corso alle realizzazioni programmate e continuò la produzione dei modelli Simca, ancora validi e richiesti dal mercato; prima con il marchio Simca-Talbot e poi solo Talbot. Un tempo esaurita ogni residua possibilità di sfruttamento dei prodotti Simca, nel 1990, anche il marchio Talbot venne tolto dai listini. 1951: nacque la Simca Aronde. Il nome "Aronde" è un vocabolo dell'antica lingua francese che significa "rondine" e fu scelto per via del logo della Casa francese, che all'epoca raffigurava una rondine stilizzata. E come ogni rondine che si rispetti, la Aronde fu presentata a primavera. Nonostante queste curiosità sul nome, la Aronde era nota a tutti anche come Simca 9, denominazione con la quale si intendeva creare una sorta di continuità con la produzione passata. Ciò può portare un po' di confusione a chi si avvicina per la prima volta a questa vettura, tanto più se si pensa che la prima serie veniva chiamata spesso addirittura Simca 9 Aronde quando se ne voleva indicare la prima serie. Barreiros nació en 1945 con BECOSA (Barreiros Empresa Constructora, S.A.) y concluyó su actividad automovilística en 1969 cuando Chrysler la absorve totalmente. La americana Chrysler ya había comprado en 1967, dentro de su política de expansión europea, la francesa Simca y la inglesa Rootes. En 1978 Chrysler Europe vende todas sus filiales a la francesa Peugeot, recreando ésta, poco tiempo después, la marca Talbot para unificarlas. Este entramado de fechas y marcas es esencial conocerlo para entender el dispar movimiento de versiones y tecnología que se movió entre tan variadas marcas por esas fechas.

Elle a la ligne particulière d'une Mercury ou d'une Hudson Hornet ou encore d'une Lincoln, l'espace d'une limousine, une conception archaïque même s'il elle dispose des nouvelles suspensions avant triangulées type MacPherson, ingénieur maison. L'usine de Poissy ne disposant pas encore de presse, les carrosseries sont élaborées par Chausson à Genneviliers pour les premiers modèles. Le moteur est un V8, un des rares de la production européenne. Mais du V8 elle n'a que les inconvénients, à savoir la consommation et la surchauffe. En revanche, elle n'a pas le punch des américaines. Le V8 de 2,2 litres ne pro- pose que 60 chevaux SAE pour une voiture de près de 1200 kg et n'est pas aidé par une boite trois rapports.

Mit grosser Aufmerksamkeit verfolgen wir das Ge- schehen zu diesem leidigen Thema mit all seinen Folgen für die Schweiz und die ganze Welt. Beunruhigend ist für uns auch, dass ein Grossteil unserer Mit- glieder der Risikogruppe der über 65-Jährigen angehört, also besonders ge- fährdet ist, sollte man angesteckt werden. Das Corona-Virus hat leider auch unser Jahresprogramm infiziert. Die vom Bund verhängten Massnahmen werden sich ziemlich sicher auch auf unseren Jubiläums-Anlass auswirken, auf den wir uns eigentlich sehr gefreut und in dessen Vorbereitungen wir auch schon viel Zeit investiert haben. Ob die Jubi- läumsreise und der Galaabend durchgeführt werden können, hängt an einem seidenen Faden. Leider sehen die Aussichten dafür eher düster aus. Schade, denn der Club könnte dieses Jahr sein 50-jähriges Bestehen feiern. Aber da müssen wir uns jetzt halt einfach beugen. Das ist – auch wenn es uns im Mo- ment betrübt – ein verschwindend kleiner Teil des grossen Leides, den dieses Virus auf der ganzen Welt anrichtet und dessen Folgen unabsehbar sind. Ein Anlass unseres Jahresprogramms ist dem Virus bereits zum Opfer gefallen.

    Club Maserati France MODENA la lettre du Club Novembre 2012 Le mot du Président Chers Amis . Nous sommes très proches de l’assemblée générale du 2 décembre où vous seront exposés résultats et réalisations de l’année 2012 mais surtout notre programme 2013 ainsi que suggestions et propositions diverses pour une évolution du Club. Votre présence et participation nous est donc nécessaire. Lors du Mondial de l’Automobile où nombreux vous avez pu apprécier le stand Maserati, sa présen- tation et l’accueil qui nous a été réservé, tout le monde savait que Maserati avait dans ses cartons de nouveaux modèles. Le secret est levé et l’article qui est consacré à la nouvelle quattroporte devrait satisfaire tous ceux qui attendaient ce moment. La dernière manifestation du Club, présence au salon Epoqu’auto de Lyon sera évoquée dans la lettre de décembre. Afin de noircir un peu de papier et de remplir les étranges lucarnes (comme disait le Canard Enchainé) il se trouve une personnalité parisienne pleine d’idées (noires) pour ralentir la progression automobile en région parisienne. La Fédération française des véhicules d’époque est tout de suite montée au créneau. Suite au prochain numéro ? Cordialement à tous.
