NSDL UPDATE December 2017 News Articles World Forum of Central Securities Depositories (WFC) 2017 co-hosted by NSDL NSDL successfully co-hosted WFC 2017 alongwith CDC Pakistan, CSDC China and HKEX Hong Kong during November 14 - 17, 2017 at Hong Kong. WFC 2017, CSD’s premier event, attracted over 250 industry delegates from 58 countries. The primary goal of the conference was to bring together market leaders and professionals of CSDs, regulators, central banks, international banks, local authorities and custodians from around the world to exchange latest information, collaborate on solutions, define best practices and discuss contemporary issues. This was informed to Participants vide Circular No. NSDL/POLICY/2017/0067 dated November 17, 2017. SEBI Circular on Review of Securities Lending and Borrowing Mechanism SEBI has modified the SLB framework regarding Tenure of the Contract, Position Limit in SLB, Treatment of Corporate Actions during SLB and Rollover Facility. This was informed to Participants vide Circular No. NSDL/POLICY/2017/0069 dated November 29, 2017 and is available on NSDL website www.nsdl.co.in. Display of price and value updated at the interval of 5 minutes on IDeAS facility for securities listed on National Stock Exchange NSDL is pleased to inform that display of price and valuation of securities are now updated at interval of 5 minutes IDeAS facility for securities which are listed on NSE. This was informed to Participants vide Circular No. NSDL/POLICY/2017/0070 dated November 29, 2017 and is available on NSDL website www.nsdl.co.in. Subscription to SPEED-e During November 2017, one more Participant has subscribed to the SPEED-e facility namely AUM Capital Market Private Limited (DP ID IN304211) Clients of the above mentioned Participants can now avail the facility of submitting various instructions through SPEED-e. This takes the total number of Participants which have subscribed to SPEED-e to 197. Training Programme for Participants: NISM / NSDL-DO training / certification programmes for Participants To facilitate officials of Participants to prepare and appear for NISM-Series VI Depository Operations Certification Examination (DOCE), NSDL conducted a three day training programme at Mumbai in November 2017. CPE Training Programme for Participants NSDL, a NISM Accredited Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Provider offers CPE training programmes in different modules like Depository Operations, Mutual Fund, Currency Derivatives, Equity Derivatives, Securities Operations & Risk Management etc. for eligible associated persons. In November 2017, NSDL conducted seven such training programmes at Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and New Delhi. 3 Investor Education initiatives undertaken by NSDL Investor Awareness Programmes: In order to reach out to investors that are spread across the country to apprise them about the facilities available in NSDL depository system and educate them about financial markets, NSDL conducts various Programmes with Participants, Housing Societies, Institutions like SEBI, NSE, corporates etc. and also participates in various events. During November 2017, NSDL conducted / participated in 43 such programmes / events which were attended by more than 3,700 investors.
