Enquiry Number – 1-721419940 Freedom of Information Enquiry Number – 1-721419940 Request and Response: Could you please advise me of the variety of hourly rates paid to providers of supported living. I am happy for these rates to be anonymised as I realise they could be commercially sensitive however I am trying to understand how many providers of supported living, for adults with learning disabilities, there are in Sandwell and the hourly rates they charge. The local authority is unable to provide details of the variety of hourly rates paid, as information is not recorded on our database in this way. Please see attached list detailing the list of current providers. Could you also provide me with the range of fees charged by providers offering daycare to adults with a learning disability. This could be on a weekly or daily basis. I am happy for these rates to be anonymised as I realise they could be commercially sensitive however I am trying to understand how many providers of daycare, for adults with learning disabilities, there are in Sandwell and the daily/weekly rates they charge. The range of rates paid to providers is broad as each rate is individual to the service user and based on their specific need. The day care providers daily rates vary from £19.38 - £211.92. Please see attached list detailing the list of current providers. SANDWELL METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL APPROVED LIST OF NON-RESIDENTIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS This list contains details of independent sector providers of non residential care that have been approve d by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council for its own purposes and having regard to its own criteria. A provider's presence on the list should not be taken as a guarantee of their quality or suitability. Likewise, the absence of a provider from the list should not be taken as necessarily indicating their unsuitability for meeting the needs of an individual purchasing services on a private basis. The list is made available to the public for information only and the Council can accept no liability for any arrangements made privately. JOURNAL OF THE ENGLISH PLACE-NAME SOCIETY Volume 43 (2011) ISSN 1351–3095 ______________________________________________________________ The Black Country David Horovitz (pp. 25–34) ______________________________________________________________ This article is from the Journal of the English Place-Name Society, an annual peer-reviewed journal issued free to members of the Society. The Journal welcomes contributions of articles and notes on subjects of relevance to English place-names. The English Place-Name Society (EPNS) was established in 1923 to conduct a county-by-county survey of the place-names of England. To date, the Survey has produced 90 volumes. Almost all English counties have been surveyed, at least in part, and work to complete the Survey is ongoing. The Survey is used by researchers, academics, and those interested in the origins, meaning, and significance of English place-names. The research work and the publication of the Survey are financed by the annual subscriptions of members of the Society, with the help of grants from the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy. Since the progress and success of the Survey depend largely upon the strength of the membership, the Society always welcomes new members, both personal and institutional. In return for the annual subscription, members receive free of charge the current issue of the Journal as well as the volume of the Survey allocated to that year’s subscription. They are entitled to order, in addition, any available volume of the Survey at a concessionary price. Associate Members pay a reduced subscription, for which they receive the Journal. Annual subscription prices (correct as of April 2017): Within the UK Outside the UK £40 (full) £45 (full)* £15 (associate) £18 (associate* *increased prices reflect increased postage cost.
