Groups will work towards having their own improvised songs recorded. Professional music leaders will guide the groups, at their own pace, through a programme of workshops, which will include an introduction to percussion, rhythm work, pitch and tone, group singing, music making and recording. Two of these groups will take place in Thatcham – one at Thatcham Court and one at Walnut Close care homes. Each project will involve 15 participants each week. There will be a minimum of 30 residents taking part across both care homes, but as the project will not necessarily involve the same residents each week, there is the potential for over 45 residents to be involved in total. Chair Dance will be run at Thatcham Court and Walnut Close care homes and will be offered to anyone with limited mobility. A dance practitioner will work with up to 10 people per group on a variety of dance based exercises once a week for an hour over 8 weeks to improve mobility, increase blood flow and promote general wellbeing. So, there will be a minimum of 20 residents taking part across both care homes, but as the project will not necessarily involve the same residents each week, there is the potential for over 30 residents to be involved in total. 2 11861 , Nature Discovery Centre Waterfront £31,109.80 £14,641.80 Estimated 83,000 visitors to Centre each year. 120,000 visitors to the Reserve each year. and Project Wildlife Trust
