Wed. Oct. 10 Dr. Alan MacEachern (UWO), “’s Best Idea? Creating the Canadian and American National Parks Services in the 1910s,” 3:30-5pm, Business 4-13 to be followed by a wine and cheese reception in the Business / Tory Atrium. All field trip participants from are encouraged to attend

Fri. Oct. 12 6:00 am – depart U of 10:00 am – Ian Getty and Buddy Wesley, Stoney Tribal Administration Building, Morley Bagged lunch (there will be an opportunity to buy food in Red Deer, or you can bring food with you from Edmonton) 1:00 pm – Jesse Whittington, Parks Canada, Resource Conservation Manager, Warden’s Office 4:15 pm – Tour of Banff Springs Hotel (Tony Harvey) 5:30 pm – Check into Banff Y Mountain Lodge. Dinner and evening on your own

Oct. 13 8:30 am – Ian MacLaren, Human/Non-human interactions in Parks, Y Mountain Lodge 9:45 am – Cave and Basin (Meg Stanley & Steve Malins, Parks Canada) 11:30 am – Banff Park Museum (SM) & Luxton Home 12:30 pm-1:30pm – Lunch on your own in Banff 2:00 pm – Bankhead (SM) 3:30 pm – Lake Minnewanka (MS) 4:00 pm – Tour of the Whyte Archives (Jennifer Rutkair, Archivist) 5:00 pm – Tour of Whyte property with Chic Scott 5:30 pm-6:45 pm – Dinner on your own 7:00 pm – Slideshow talk with Chic Scott & Tour of Abegweit (with Brett / Nat Fedrau)

Sun. Oct. 14 9:00 am – Mike McIvor, 10:30 am – Mt Norquay (MS), Bow Falls, Fish Hatchery (LP) Leave for Edmonton after lunch arrive pm.
