1. Issued guidelines as per SOP on preventive measures to contain spread of COVID 19 in religious places/places of worship.

2. IMPAR filed an RTI on the number of total deaths in the riots of North-East Delhi, FIR’s for the missing people, total number of injured, list of houses and shops that were looted with list and names of affected families, list of burnt house and shops and names of affected families, list of the arrested people by names and the charges framed against each arrested person by name of police station or other concerned teams, list about the compensation that was paid for deaths, injured, burnt /damaged houses, properties etc.

3. IMPAR wrote letters of concern to Union Minister Dr Harshvardhan, MCI demanding action against the doctor who allegedly claimed that Tab lighis are terrorists.

4. IMPAR managed to get Tableeghis released who were languishing in various quarantine centers across the country for many weeks. The COVID 19 protocols require 14 days of quarantine but, unfortunately, most of the Tableeghis had spent more than a month in quarantine. The irony was these people were quarantined for so many days, even when none of them found Corona positive. With the collective effort of few individuals such as Jb. MH Khan, IAS, ex-Secretary, GOI, Mr. HK Paliwal, ex Secy to CM, Zen Zameer Uddin Shah, and Mr MJ Khan around 250 Tabligh members were released who were lodged in Baraut for last 50 days. 55 Tablighis locked in quarantine in a school at a Gonda for 40 days were also released. Dr. Nitin Bansal, DM, helped in the completion all formalities and assured Tableeghis reached their home before Eid.

5. IMPAR had made a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission over the hunger death of the Tableeghi in hospital in Delhi. The complaint and has been picked up by the NHRC and it has sought response from concerned authorities failing which legal proceedings would be initiated against them.

6. IMPAR Political Group passed a resolution on political empowerment of the marginalised communities in a webinar. The webinar was convened by Mr Anis Ansari(retired IAS officer).

7. IMPAR released a press release regarding Zee Media demanding an impartial, unbiased, enquiry on the violation of Epidemic Act 1897 and lockdown 2.9 guidelines.

8. In the wake of the COVID 19 threat, IMPAR issued a set of guidelines for Eid 2020. The 11 points guidelines sought to ensure that social distancing and austerity measures were followed. In addition, to that IMPAR also urged people to offer Eid prayers at home, did no Eid shopping, avoided extravagant Eid meals and donated the money to needy irrespective of caste and creed.

9. IMPAR also coordinated with the Imams of various masjids across the country on giving directions about praying Eid namaz at home.

10. IMPAR initiated zakat related work for facilitating zakat collection for institutions which have not been able to go out and collect zakat this year. A list of Madrasas from across across the country was prepared. The list is uploaded on the IMPAR website.

11. Series of regular webinars were conducted by IMPAR.

12. The first webinar on Opportunity Start-ups post COVID 19 was conducted. Mr. Siraj Chaudhary, Mr MQ Sayed, Imteyaz Siddiqui, Dr Zubair, Ather Zia ,John Rizvi, Mr MJ Khan were the eminent speakers for the occasion.

13. A webinar (2nd in series) on Fake News and Hate Speech: Consequences and recourse to Legal Remedies was conducted on 17 May 2020. Five speakers, Adv. Nasir Aziz, Adv. Firoze Ghazi, Adv. Ishtiaq Ali, Dr. Farukh Khan, and Adv. Tahir participated, and Sheeba Aslam Fahmi delivered the closing remark.

14. A webinar (3rd in series) on How Muslims view the Changing Political Scenario? was conducted on 21 May 2020. In the webinar key speakers were Mr. K. Rahman Khan, veteran Politician of Indian National Congress, former Union Minister of Minority Affairs and Ex-Deputy Chairman of Rajya Sabha and Mr. S M Shervani, Managing Director, Shervani group.

15. IMPAR sent a letter congratulating the Prime Minister for his statement that the virus has no religion.

16. IMPAR sent a letter to Mohan Bhagwat welcoming his statement that Muslims are an integral part of Indian society, and the whole community cannot be targeted for mistakes of few.

17. IMPAR sent a letter to the HM to take action against the hate messages targeting the Muslim community. IMPAR also sent another letter to HM to protest the students being arrested on false charges during the pandemic for inciting riots.

18. IMPAR sent a letter to secretary family health and welfare concerning the disturbing trend of Muslims facing discrimination in hospitals.

19. IMPAR sent letter of appreciation to Poorvanchal Dastak for serving the nation in the best possible way.

20. IMPAR letter of appreciation to go news for effective reporting.

21. IMPAR sent letter of appreciation to Mufti Rizwan Qasmi for his commendable role in the propagation of tolerance.

22. IMPAR has sent a letter of concern to DCP concerning sup moto action against the channels which played the doctored audio regarding Maulana Saad.

23. Wrote to Mr. Arvind Kejriwal for intervention in the cases of economic boycott that Muslim traders/vendors are undergoing.

24. Wrote to DCP against the instances of the economic boycott in several parts of Delhi, seeking immediate intervention.

25. Press release and reports about the First webinar were released.

26. Started a population bursting myth campaign on twitter.

27. Conducted a twitter storm on Eid at home.

28. IMPAR has managed to create a space get 300 plus best minds of the community together.

29. Working team has been put in place. Organizational structure laid with Steering Committee and working groups for more effective functioning.

30. Social Media and Mainstream Media Structure formulated.

31. All IMPAR social media handles operationalised, FB, Linkedin, shared on social media. Twitter, Instagram, YouTube etc

32. IMPAR Brochure prepared and IMPAR website made functional.

33. Videos were generated about issues of importance and Social media team created and negotiations with agencies are underway.

34. TV programs were organized with panelists from IMPAR appearing for giving a progressive Muslim Perspective.

35. IMPAR was vastly covered by national and regional media.

36. Campaigns were launched and widely circulated, accepted and liked by general public

37. Letters were sent to CM’S congratulating them and pointing out lapses. Three Police complaints were filed and two legal petitions finalized.

38. IMPAR worked immensely hard to get a government formal advisory to media houses issued against hate speech and fake news. This advisory was issued to states and to regional media. Change in media discourse is visible.

39. Specific help was provided to stranded Muslims in 25 plus cases done using help and network of the members.

40. IMPAR urged the government to issue guidelines to FCI for opening its godowns for NGOs for direct lifting of stocks.

41. Food/ration deliveries were managed in about multiple cases by members plus Nafed supplies were arranged to one Muslim NGO in Mumbai.

42. Press releases were issued on specific subjects of concerns.

43. Twitter and Facebook handles have become more efficient with addition of members.

44. More than 5000 people joined through WhatsApp groups.

45. More than 30 Zoom meetings were held with various groups and Steering Committee.

46. Ramzan Guidelines were prepared and circulated in Media and Social Media in view of Covid-19 lockdown.

47. Appreciation letter was sent to Mr SonuSood for his remarkable contribution to the nation in the time of crisis.

48. IMPAR initiated a powerful campaign against Dr Aarti Lalchandani who had indulged in a hate rant against the Tablighis. In this regard, IMPAR wrote to Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr Harshvardhan and Medical Council of asking for immediate action against the above-mentioned doctor. In addition to this, powerful media/social media campaign was launched by IMPAR against the purported hate speech by Dr. Aarti Lalchandani. Subsequently, IMPAR filed a Public Interest Litigation against Dr. Aarti Lalchandani in the Allahabad High Court.

49. Letters of concern were written to Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Dr Harshvardhan and Medical Council of India about how at certain places private hospital denied treatment to Muslims patients. It was requested that stern measures should be put in place to check this practice.

50. IMPAR filed a complaint with Delhi Commission for Women against Payal Rohatgi for her abusive tweets against Indian Muslim women.

51. A webinar was held on 10th June for the release of IMPAR website, launch of leadership development program, launch of IMPAR work plan, release of booklet on community work done during Covid19 and for sharing the progress report of the two month journey of IMPAR.

52. IMPAR held a meeting with its legal . support group and discussed the cases of anti CAA protestors on zoom meeting held on 14th . Subsequently a report about the meeting was also released.

53. IMPAR working agenda for next 12 months was released. The agenda touches issues of monitoring of media contents and constructive engagement, analyzing the social, political and economic challenges by internal working groups, constituting expert groups to leverage government programs and schemes, engaging with central and state governments and all the key institutions, reaching out to top 1000 corporate for CSR ,jobs and skill support, organizing meetings, expert lectures and roundtables with thought leaders of various subjects, holding dialogue with leaderships on all political parties, media and corporate houses, creating NGO’s and start ups and adopting the same number in existing districts, creating monitoring centre, emergency response team(ERT) with legal support system, organizing RRF(reward, recognition) function for outstanding community work, organizing social actions like cleanliness drive, feeding poor, community service and leadership of women and youth.

54. Articles about IMPAR were shared widely on social media handles and amongst the groups. The articles focused on the image and perceptions management of Muslims in India, organizing community reforms and positive social actions, creating channels of help for access to social and economic opportunities.

55. Press Release was issued urging mosques in Delhi and adjacent areas to remain shut in the month of June too. This was done following the spike in the COVID 19 cases in the Delhi- NCR

56. A campaign was done on Blood Donors Day. Since its impossible to have a blood donation camp in the current situation, IMPAR generated a web link where the donors could register themselves and could be contacted easily at the time of emergency.

57. In its endeavour to create jobs, IMPAR tied-up with HR company “Kaamhai” for helping youth who have been rendered jobless through the COVID 19 crisis and are unable to find right opportunities. IMPAR also collaborated with another HR company “Sodexo” for job creation. Several job advertisements were shared within the groups.

58. Another initiative taken by IMPAR was to collaborate with NGO’s for admitting COVID19 patients in hospitals, quarantine centers and to provide help to the distressed families in performing their last rites.

59. IMPAR came out with a press release condemning the Chinese incursions in Ladakh and offered condolence to the families of 20 soldiers who lost their lives.

60. On World Environment Day, IMPAR convened a zoom interview with news channels.

61. IMPAR has filed a legal notice against news anchor Amish Devgan for making highly offensive, derogatory and defamatory remarks against revered Sufi Saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti. Multiple FIRs are also registered. Notice has been sent ton the channel by Diwan Associates on behalf of Khanqah Barkatia for slandering revered Sufi Saint HazratKhawajaMoinuddinChisti.

62. IMPAR served legal notice to news anchor Shweta Singh and AajTak for insulting and questioning the courage of . The notice has been sent by Diwan Associates.

63. IMPAR wrote to Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla Home Secretary Government of India, Shri Ajit Doval National Security Advisor Government of India, Thiru K Palaniswami Honorable Chief Minister Government of Tamil Nadu , Mr K Shanmugan Chief Secretary Government of Tamil Nadu, H.E Banwari Lal Purohit ,Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu for the release of overseas Tableeghi Jamaati’s languishing across various jails in Tamil Nadu . Though having completed the necessary quarantine and ordered for release by the Hon’ble High Court of Chennai, the release has been deferred by one reason or the other. In this regard, press release was also released and carried by several English,urdu and hindi newspapers.

64. IMPAR conducted a zoom meeting with experts to finalise and launch a nationwide job readiness program on 24th June 2020 to train and facilitate job seekers to

make them job ready.

65. Impar initiated an awareness program and campaign called ‘My Clean Neighborhood’ on 28 July in several parts of Old Delhi. the volunteers covered the area around MeenaBazar-Jama Masjid, Haj Manzil, Jain Mandir ,Gauri Shankar Mandir, ShishganjGurudwara and Central Baptist Church. Environmental sanitation is a major public health issue in India and a part of the sustainable development goals throughout the world. As a part of introspection and taking responsibility for our surroundings, IMPAR will be conducting many such program in future.

66. Letters of concern were written to Delhi Waqf Board and Shri Manish Sisodia for immediate release of salaries of Imams and Muezzins in New Delhi. Shri Manish Sisodia promised to look into the matter and directed the Delhi Waqf Board for immediate release of salaries.

67. IMPAR also wrote to Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and ICMR for cancellation of licenses of laboratories who are involved in erroneous Covid 19 testing.

68. As part of the RRF, IMPAR plans to felicitate individuals and organisations who have done exemplary work in COVID19 Crisis (Helping Hands) .Information about the program was disseminated and entries are being sought.

69. IMPAR is working towards the formation of District Action Groups (DAG’s) across the districts. Work is being carried out on laying the structure and other necessary logistical arrangements.

70. IMPAR organised a webinar on Muslim Women in Higher education on 4 July 2020. Prof Arvinder Ansari-head of department Sociology JamiaMilliaIslamia, Ms Khair un Nissa Shah- Vice President World Trade Centre, Dr Amina Mirza-Assistant Professor Delhi University, Ms Sheeba Aslam Fehmi-journalist and India head at, Dr VenkateshSundaram -Economist at World Bank , Dr Arshia Sharif -Professor and Pharma consultant were the speakers for the event. More than 200 participants attended the webinar.

71. Discussions were initiated on Eid-ul-Azha guidelines.

72. District Action Groups were formed.

73. Sanitization and COVID 19 awareness drives were held in North-west Delhi by IMPAR volunteers.

74. Public Interest Litigation filed by IMPAR against Dr Arti Lal Chandani was heard by the division bench comprising of Hon'ble Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court and Hon'ble MR S D SINGH showing disagreeemnet with the answer given by the state governmnet and directed them to acquaint the court on 20th July 2020.

75. IMPAR initiated the knowledge series where it would be collecting thesis, books, documents, judicial reports about Muslim community in India.

76. IMPAR organised an interaction with Shri Suresh Prabhu,MemberParliamnet and India’s Sherpa to G7 and G20 countries.On behalf of IMPAR, Mr K Rahman Khan- former deputy chairman Rajya Sabha, Mr H R Khan-former Deputy governor RBI Mumbai, Mr Yunus Javed-India Representative Saudi CISP and Aramco, Mr SaaedShervani-M D Shervani Group of Hotels ,Ms Sheeba Aslam Fehmi-journalist and India head at indiatimes.live, Mr M J Khan-President IMPAR raised pertinent issues that affect the Muslim community in India. The program was conducted by Mr Khalid Ansari, executive director IMPAR and vote of thanks was delivered by Col Saleem Durrani. The news about the interaction was widely covered by national and regional media.

77. IMPAR successfully implemented a series of Jobs Readiness Program. IMPAR conducted sessions of Jobs Readiness Program on personality development; communication skills; bio-data, covering letter and thanks letter writing; interview and leadership skills; interview techniques, FAQs, mock interviews; and provided guidance on internship.

78. The much awaited IMPAR’s brochure was released beginning with IMPAR President’s note and highlighting the vision, mission and key stakeholders of IMPAR.

79. IMPAR has developed and launched an in-house digital media channel by the name “ASPIRE” to augment its awareness and advocacy work.

80. IMPAR has released the 21 Member IMPAR Media Panel officially. The panel members are drawn mainly from IMPAR Steering Committee and IMPAR Executive Committee, and from all the major cities to help the media houses gain access to eminent experts for informed discussions.

81. IMPAR released its organisational film. IMPAR team of 10 members worked over time in the last four months and handled over 110 tasks and launched over 15 important programs to comprehensively address the situation.

82. New members to the Steering Committee were nominated completing the full strength of 44.

83. A list of new members of the Executive Committee was introduced making it to 27 members. The names have been short listed based on multiple criteria, mainly their experiences and commitment and also professional excellence and regional diversity.
