2019 ASEAN-China Youth Winter Camp I. Background
Linked by mountains and rivers, China and ASEAN are good neighbors, good friends and good partners. With the continuous development of ASEAN-China relations, people-to-people exchanges have become a new highlight. The younger generation is our future and shoulders great responsibility in building an even brighter future for ASEAN and China and the region as a whole. Promoting ASEAN-China Youth Exchanges will provide a solid foundation for our future leaders to build network, trust and friendship.
To further strengthen the communication and exchanges as well as enhance mutual learning and understanding among youths of ASEAN Member States and China, Japan and the Republic of Korea, ACC will host the 2019 ASEAN-China Youth Winter Camp in three provinces of Hainan, Jilin and Heilongjiang, China from 13 to 22 December, 2019. Through various activities, the Campers will experience the diverse cultures of China, raise the awareness of the significance of the development of ASEAN-China relationship, embrace opportunities for network building, and strengthen mutual understanding and friendship, thus contributing to an even closer ASEAN-China community with a shared future.
II.Program Title The 2019 ASEAN-China Youth Winter Camp
Ⅲ.Objectives Raising awareness among youths on the significance of growing relationship of ASEAN-China and the ASEAN plus China, Japan and RoK cooperation. Promoting deeper understanding about China and the Chinese culture. Providing network-building opportunities and fostering trust and

friendship among the participants.

V.Organization Host: ASEAN-China Centre (ACC) Organizer: Hainan Tropical Ocean University Jilin University
VI.Relevant Arrangements Local expenses of campers including accommodation (9 nights), transportation, meals, classes, entry tickets to museum and places of interest, and insurance during their stay in China, including medical insurance and accidental injury insurance shall be borne by ACC. The international airfares shall be borne by the sending institutions or the students themselves.
It is requested that all campers should purchase travel insurance in their own countries before leaving for China, and provide copies of the insurance policy to the organizers after their arrival.
