Anthony Lee, named to the preseason all- Atlantic 10 Rookie team, redshirted last season due to a back injury. The 6-9 Columbia, Md. native played well in an Iowa summer league and is expected to bolster the Owls’ frontcourt. Another redshirt freshman, 6-10 Jimmy Mc - Donnell, also returns for the Owls as does sen - ior walk-on guard Jake Godino (1.2 ppg.). Freshman Will Cummings, the First Coast Player of the Year from the Providence School in Jacksonville, Fla., is the Owls’ lone incoming recruit. The 6-1 point guard averaged 18.1 Scootie Randall points, 8.1 assists and four steals per game during his senior year. Rounding out the team is freshman walk-on Nick Pendergast, a 6-5 forward out of the Kent (Ct.) School. Ten postseason teams, including perennial power - houses Duke and Texas, are among the 14 opponents that comprise Temple’s 2011-12 men’s basketball non- conference schedule. Besides Duke and Texas, the Owls’ schedule features two other teams that participated in the 2011 NCAA Tournament (Purdue, a possible foe in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off Classic, and Villanova).
