Enable Electric in King George Cont
SUNDAY, 30 JULY, 2017 The King George took on an entirely different shape as the ENABLE ELECTRIC heavy rain fell on already-deadened ground. Despite the Epsom Oaks being staged in a thunderstorm, the latest Juddmonte IN KING GEORGE sensation had it slick there as she readily turned back Rhododendron (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) on June 2 and it was even quicker as she completed the double in the Irish equivalent two weeks prior to this. Tactics were certain to play a significant part here, with her potentially tricky draw in seven leaving her vulnerable to early scrimmaging, but Frankie was happy to let her bounce out and put her head in front until Maverick Wave crossed over to provide the lead. With Highland Reel (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) for company as they ignored the pacemaker, Enable settled perfectly and had stablemate Jack Hobbs (GB) (Halling) behind along with Idaho as Ulysses travelled with his customary ease and Jim Crowley tracked their every move. Before the turn for home Highland Reel was the first to struggle, and as he laboured and Ulysses nipped up his inner Enable dominates a rain-soaked King George | Racing Post Idaho lost vital momentum, but Enable moved forward with Jack Hobbs and for a brief period a Gosden one-two was likely. The top price of the day was the Arqana Summer Sale when selling as Lot 300 for Lot 300, Dance Of Life (Mastercraftsman), who was knocked €400,000 to Horse France. © APRH down to Horse France for €400,000, writes Sally Ann Grassick. Trained by the father and son team of Carlos and Yann Lerner in Maisons-Laffitte, this three-year-old colt has won once and been by Haras du Mezeray on behalf of Shadwell France, Lot 224 placed four times from six starts to date. Wadyhatta (Cape Cross) was sold carrying her first foal by Paul Nataf explained: “He will go to Australia to be trained by Mike Authorized for €275,000. This dual winning four-year-old filly is Moroney at Ballymore Stables. He looks to have everything to succeed out of the Listed-placed Thamarat (Anabaa), a half-sister to dual out there; he stays but also has a lot of speed. I knew he was going to Gr.1-winning stallion Tamayuz. -

It comprises a list of two years olds in training whose dams, during their racing careers, were successful over the respective distances on the Flat in Great Britain or Ireland. The list is not exhaustive as historical records for horses who raced abroad are not readily available. An International Worth Waiting
THURSDAY, 18 AUGUST, 2016 SOLID TRADE LEADS TO GAINS AT V2 AN INTERNATIONAL Arqana=s one-day V.2 Yearling Sale was the focus of WORTH WAITING FOR Wednesday=s activity in Deauville and it posted a positive set of figures headed by a turnover of i3,481,000, some 14% up on last year. The average price set a new record in the sale's four-year history at i39,897, up 17%. The depth of the buying bench resulted in 30 horses selling for i50,000 or more against only 14 a year ago, which in turn pushed the median price up 13% from i30,000 to i34,000. The clearance rate remained the same at 75%. At the conclusion of the sale, Arqana president Eric Hoyeau commented, "It is an extremely pleasing renewal of the V.2 Yearling Sale, which has now fully asserted its ability to produce two-year-old winners at a high level. This year's yearlings were the first to have been conceived with the sale in mind and we are thrilled to see the breeders so handsomely rewarded." Breeze-Up Evolution Continues with Classy Arqana Offering
FRIDAY, 28 MAY 2021 BREEZE-UP EVOLUTION EUCHEN GLEN SPRINGS A SURPRISE IN THE BRIGADIER GERARD CONTINUES WITH CLASSY Thursday=s G3 Coral Brigadier Gerard S. in memory of Joe Mercer saw an upset, as the 20-1 shot Euchen Glen (GB) ARQANA OFFERING (Authorized {Ire}) coming out firmly on top of the younger brigade with the soft ground in his favour. Off the track for nearly two years following his win in York=s John Smith=s Cup in 2018, the bay had hit a rich vein of form in October when registering career-best successes in that track=s G3 Cumberland Lodge S. and the G3 St Simon S. at Newbury. Looking to have gone over the hill when eighth in the G3 John Porter S. at Newbury Apr. 18 and a distant seventh in the G3 Ormonde S. at Chester May 6, he found things falling in his favour here to return to winning ways in style despite his penalty. By Emma Berry DONCASTER, UKBBOn paper, there has been clear evidence over a number of years that the breeze-up sector has collectively raised its game when it comes to the quality of product on offer. Many of the 2-year-olds who will pass through the ring in Doncaster on Friday for the relocated and slightly delayed Arqana Breeze-Up Sale would not have looked out of place in an elite yearling sale. -
