Mine Drainage The mining operations will be opencast by adopting manual method. Normally the ground water level will be 10 m of flowing water during rainy seasons and 30m depth below the sand in summer. The thickness of sand deposit is 2.5-3 m and the workings are proposed 1m depth from the surface. Thus, there will not be any problem to ground water. Rain water, which falls on the mine workings, will flow down the gently sloping workings. The reclamation of the excavated sand will be a natural process as the flowing water during rainy days will fill the mined out pits.
