PULPIT MEDIA GROUP (PMG) HOME OF REAL AND RELEVANT CHRISTIAN BROADCASTERS

The Pulpit Media Group is an independent, trans-cultural and trans-denominational media organisation with the vision to restore the presence of God in every home in SA and beyond.

It is our divine assignment is to proclaim the Gospel through the production and broadcasting of radio programmes, supported by other social and electronic media, publications and media initiatives. Our focus is to be a companion to believers in their journey of faith and win unbelievers for Christ.

Our members in this endeavour are:  Radio Pulpit 657AM;  Radio Cape Pulpit 729AM;  United Christian Broadcasters Africa (UCB Africa);  CNW Media; and  I AM Web Radio and Youth Movement

Radio Pulpit 657AM has been on air since 1981 and broadcasts on 657AM in the greater Gauteng and surrounding areas, reaching people as far as Mpumalanga, parts of KwaZulu-Natal and the Northern Cape. This radio station has been appointed as the 2015 MTN Community Station of the Year. In 2012 a license was granted to Radio Pulpit’s sister station, Radio Cape Pulpit 729AM. This station can be heard in the greater part of the Western Cape.

WE TALK

Radio Pulpit 657AM has been the daily companion of listeners for more than three decades. We praise God with current talk radio and deliver a clear Christian message because we are a Christian Radio Station, inspired by Christian values.

It is within this context that Radio Pulpit 657AM and Radio Cape Pulpit 729AM make a tangible difference in the lives of our listeners. From Gauteng to the Cape we give our listeners compelling, morally uplifting content as we look to restore family values, equip the leaders of tomorrow and build a moral nation.

WE REACH

PMG and its stations are on the cutting edge of technology and are seen as leaders in the broadcasting industry. Radio Pulpit made history with the first digital audio trial broadcasts in Southern Africa a year ago. In addition to this exciting development in broadcasting excellence, Radio Pulpit has been chosen as the 2015 MTN Community Station of the Year.

PMG listeners are exceptionally active on social and electronic media. We therefore also provide daily devotionals to them via e-mail and the Word for Today app. This gives us the opportunity to bring the message of Christ on a daily basis via more than one medium with the aim to reach and beyond with the Gospel.

WE LEAD

PMG took the lead in developing a current and real moral media alternative for the youth via the I AM Youth Movement and I AM Youth Web Radio (www.iamymovement.co.za)

We use technology as key to unlock the youth’s hearts and minds for the message of Hope. Youth presenters bring the Gospel in a language that young people understand. Through the I AM youth web radio, Facebook, Twitter and awesome interactive school visits, the I AM Youth Movement moves boundaries and restore the youth’s identity in Christ. The I AM web radio solely focuses on the youth and provides them with an opportunity to listen via the web. Teenagers deal with problems like alcohol abuse, drugs, pornography and teenage sex on a daily basis. Trained counsellors are waiting to help young people. Teenagers can SMS, tweet, WhatsApp or send a message via Facebook, or ‘even’ pick up the phone to contact us should they need help. In addition to counselling, the web radio, and school visits, PMG publishes a daily devotional youth magazine, word4U2day. This youth magazine carries daily devotionals, written by gifted Christian teenagers. It is a free publication that carries priceless information, customised for the youth. We inspire them with the Word of God, give them the tools to read their Bible in a year and help them to strengthen their relationship with God. They can also choose to receive daily devotionals electronically. In the I AM Youth Movement’s own ‘words’: This is a Movement that you DO NOT want to miss out on. Come see what it means to love unconditionally, forgive unconditionally and live outrageously free in Christ.

WE BRING HOPE

PMG partners with United Christian Broadcasters Africa (UCB Africa) in radio missionary activities into Africa.

Through a partnership with UCB Africa, we bring the message of Hope to thousands of people in Africa. PMG and UCB Africa support broadcasting in Africa by providing training, technical advice and support in the process of establishing new broadcasters in Africa. This partnership has already empowered emerging African Christian broadcasters with new broadcasting studios in Tanzania, Mozambique, Ghana, Botswana, and .

In Mozambique alone the response from (emerging African Christian broadcasters) listeners has been overwhelming, with 3 000 to 5 000 letters received from listeners with wonderful testimonies, informing us about the transformation of people’s lives. Listeners are not just using their radios, but also their cell phones and live streaming through the internet.
