Belsize Business >Belsize Village Architects Hub on 23.06.16: NH to liaise with SP for small stand/stall for BRA to display membership leaflets and photo notelets. AS, NH & CP to man stall. >BRA Archives: in addition to those listed by AS, NH has end of year accounts back to 1984. AS will consult Averil Nottage re any additional material, also value of maintaining full archive. JF to ask Archival Library for advice. Take forward. >Website Hosting. Reluctance to change hosting largely because of potential problems migrating email. All agreed that development would be useful on an ad hoc basis. PV to check how much of necessary changes he can do. SC to notify Direction Forward of decision re hosting and development.

Planning >Applications: approx. 20 applications reviewed >100 Avenue Road; EL’s new application to demolish as a “minor material” alteration, 2016/2803/P. PV to object on behalf of BRA and AS to email members. >100 Avenue Road: Barbara Weiss Skyline Campaign http://tinyurl.com/sadiqfreezetallbuildings. PV to check whether any action required. >Lamp post banners on Hill; advertising permission from Camden granted for five years so no action possible until 2020. >Camden Eruv - 30ft poles in 40 sites 2016/1436/P. No BRA comments, up to individuals. >Offer of meeting re HS2 petition. PV has contacted HS2 to set up meeting. >Belsize Square synagogue planning application: no progress to date. >New planning app. to demolish St Peter’s Vicarage to construct three houses, one as vicarage and two to be sold. BRA to check and maybe object on grounds of overdevelopment. >Steele’s Pub: latest application is for two flats and small back extension for function room, all accessed through pub garden. Planning officer approved development but many objections mean the application will go before full planning committee. JF to talk with Claire-Louise re speaking at meeting.

Events >Garden Party on 26th June at 3p.m. NH to help move furniture. 2 chairs and a table required on door for AS and CP to register members. Table to be provided for NH to display and sell notelets. JG to be asked to take photos if attending. Servers and helpers to arrive at 2.15.

Finance >Accounts for May 2016 approved >NH requested suggestions for charitable donations

Publications >Committee members to write an article for Newsletter during the year and members to be encouraged to contribute.

Membership >Changes for May: four new members plus a few renewals, bringing total to 511 members. AS says usually lose about 35 members a year, partly reflecting age profile of members. The garden party and the Belsize architects hub will be used as recruiting opportunities. CP will ask library to re-instate the membership leaflet on their noticeboard MO’S to ask BCL to display leaflets. NH suggested members who live in blocks of flats be asked to circulate leaflets to other residents of their block. AS to provide names from membership list.

Any other Business >Jessica L.C letter re Parish Council. Is/should BSP included in application. Take forward. >Community Interest Company; PV has been contacted by member who is expert on CIC and will arrange meeting. Take forward
