Bruno Monsaingeon Bruno Monsaingeon is a Paris-based concert violinist who, while still active in the feld of performance has, in the last 30 years, devoted a large part of his time to the making of musical flms. Among these flms his profles of legendary performers, such as , , Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, David Oïstrakh, Michael Tilson-Thomas, , Deszö Ranki, Zoltan Kocsis, , Julia Varady, , the Alban Berg Quartet, , Grigori Sokolov, Guennadi Roshdestvensky, and more recently Valeriy Sokolov, , and have gained worldwide acclaim Monsaingeon is also the author of seven books: Mademoiselle: Conversations with Nadia Boulanger; Le dernier Puritain, Contrepoint à la ligne, and Non, je ne suis pas du tout un excentrique, a series of three books containing the entire literary output of the great Canadian pianist, composer and writer, Glenn Gould; Richter, writings and conversations (éditions van de Velde/Arte Editions/Actes Sud); Passion Menuhin (éditions Textuel/Arte Editions); and in 2002, Glenn Gould: Journal d’une crise followed by Correspondance de concert. There will be a screening of Monsaingeon’s flms featuring Glenn Gould and Svatoslav Richter on Thursday, November 14, at 2:00 pm in the Centre Street Performance Studio.
