A U.S. Consumer's Guide to Electric Vehicle Charging
CONSUMER GUIDE TO ELECTRIC VEHICLES JUNE 2021 11570437 WHY BUY AN ELECTRIC CAR? Electric vehicles (EVs) are fun to drive, safe, comfortable, and convenient to refuel. They also cost less to operate per mile and produce no tailpipe emissions. Today’s electric cars do everything a gas car can do—and more. Most are high-performing vehicles with silent, instant torque, superb handling, and the latest technology and safety features. Most can travel 200–250 miles on a charge; many can go farther. Most EV drivers prefer to charge at home for its convenience and savings. A growing national network of public charging sites enables more consumers—even those who can’t plug in at home—to consider purchasing an EV. Because EVs are powered by electricity instead of gasoline, they shift our energy reliance to domestic sources while also reducing emissions. Cutting vehicle emissions is especially critical in communities adjacent to heavily trafficked roadways. As local power generation grows cleaner, every electric car charged on that grid gets cleaner too—and the broader public health and climate benefits increase. Electrifying light-duty transport would reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions by 17% relative to 2018 levels. EV 101 This guide highlights the two types of electric vehicles that plug into the grid to recharge their batteries. They are battery-electric (or all-electric) vehicles and plug-in hybrids. All-electric vehicles are powered solely Plug-in hybrids pair an electric motor by an electric motor and battery. They and battery with an internal-combustion burn no gasoline or diesel fuel, so they engine. -
Hyundai IONIQ 5 Zijn Tijd Vooruit?
Publicatiedatum: 2 september 2021 www.autozine.nl Hyundai IONIQ 5 Zijn tijd vooruit? -

It’s also a year for the motor industry to bounce back; following the decimation of sales during the pandemic, the recovery has been rapid. New-car registrations were up 42.5 per cent on last year’s numbers to the end of May, no doubt boosted by so many exciting releases. From sensible EVs to wild sports cars, we’ve tested the lot – but we’ve also re-evaluated our categories to reflect the changes within the industry, not least the onset of electrification. We’ll name our top picks, plus one very special overall winner. Kia EV6 Got Over 21,000 Reservations on the First Day in Korea
Search HomeKiaEV6NewsSales Kia EV6 Got Over 21,000 Reservations On The First Day In Korea Apr 01, 2021 at 1:39pm ET By: MARK KANE The Kia EV6 noted a similar initial demand surge like the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Kia announced that on the rst day the dedicated website opened, more than 21,000 potential customers lodged online reservation for the upcoming EV6 model in South Korea alone. That's an outstanding result, almost matching the 23,760 Ioniq 5 preorders (in 24 hours) reported by Hyundai (also in South Korea). Let's recall that the Kia EV6 was unveiled on March 30, 2021 and will be launched on the market in the second half of this year. We don't know the number of reservations in Europe, but we guess that it will be quite high, and maybe even higher than in the case of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 that was very well received. Gallery: Kia EV6 GT 40 Photos Details for Europe In Europe, the Kia EV6 can be pre-ordered by placing a refundable deposit of just €100 ($118). The company intends to start taking orders in May, while the rst customer car deliveries are scheduled for September. In general, the Kia EV6 will enter the market several months after the Hyundai Ioniq 5, based on the same E-GMP platform, but quite dierent in style. For its European customers, Kia announced special benets related to charging: EV6 (base version and GT-line) Customers who will place pre-reservation before 30 April 2021 and place a factory order before 31 December 2021 will receive: - access to the IONITY charging network for one year - one-year subscription to KiaCharge
