Sept. 6 at #14 Creighton W, 3-2 (22-25, 19-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-10) The Huskers will host Ohio State on Friday at 7 p.m. and Maryland on Saturday at 7 p.m. Sept. 9 Iowa State W, 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-16) • Saturday night’s match will be Senior Night for the Huskers’ three seniors: Mikaela Foecke, Kenzie Maloney and Brooke Smith. The trio was all part of the Huskers’ 2015 NCAA Championship squad, and Foecke and Maloney Husker Invite (Lincoln, Neb.) were members of the NCAA Championship All-Tournament Team in 2017 after the Huskers won their second NCAA title in three years. Foecke and Maloney are the only players in Nebraska volleyball history to make three Sept. 14 Central Michigan W, 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-11) straight final four appearances. Sept. 14 New Mexico W, 3-1 (23-25, 25-12, 25-20, 25-11) • Both matches will be televised on NET and streamed on BTN2GO.com. John Baylor is in his 25th season doing Big Ten Schedule play-by-play for the Husker volleyball program. Nebraska possesses a .904 win percentage all-time in the month of November, Oct. 13 at #9 Penn State L, 2-3 (22-25, 25-11, 26-24, 23-25, 9-15) compared to an .881 win percentage all-time during August-October. Nebraska’s two seniors who have been with the program for four years - Kenzie Maloney and Mikaela Foecke - are a combined 29-1 in the month of November. Oct. 19 at #9 Wisconsin L, 2-3 (20-25, 25-19, 25-17, 17-25, 8-15) • Nebraska leads the Big Ten and ranks second nationally in opponent hitting percentage at .138. Nebraska’s .138 Oct. 20 at #3 Minnesota L, 1-3 (25-19, 23-25, 23-25, 18-25) opponent hitting percentage is its best mark since .126 in the 2005 season. Nov. 2 #7 Penn State W, 3-2 (25-27, 25-19, 21-25, 25-18, 15-8) • Nebraska’s 2.79 blocks per set ranks 14th nationally and second in the Big Ten. Nov. 3 Rutgers W, 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-13) • Senior co-captain Mikaela Foecke, who has been named Big Ten Player of the Week three times this season, Nov. 7 at Iowa W, 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-13) leads the Huskers with 3.70 kills per set and adds 2.66 digs per set and has 38 service aces this season. Her current Nov. 10 at #15 Michigan W, 3-1 (15-25, 25-20, 28-26, 26-24) kills per set average is Nebraska’s best since 2013 (Kelsey Robinson, 4.45). Nov. 16 at #12 Purdue W, 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 22-25, 25-17) • Fellow senior captain Kenzie Maloney is averaging 4.08 digs per set to lead the Husker defense. • Freshman middle blocker Callie Schwarzenbach ranks 17th in the nation and second in the Big Ten with 1.45 Nov. 17 at Indiana W, 3-0 (25-13, 25-19, 25-19) blocks per set. Nov. 23 Ohio State 7 p.m. NET/BTN2GO • Sophomore middle blocker Lauren Stivrins is averaging 2.23 kills per set on a team-best .395 hitting percentage, Nov. 24 Maryland 7 p.m. NET/BTN2GO^ which is third-best in the Big Ten. • Since debuting for the Huskers on Sept. 14, Lexi Sun has put up 3.12 kills per set and 2.73 digs per set. • Freshman setter Nicklin Hames has 21 double-doubles and is averaging 10.30 assists and 3.35 digs per set. Her NCAA Tournament 21 double-doubles are the second-most in school history in the rally-scoring era, trailing only Jordan Larson’s 22 Nov. 30 First Round double-doubles in 2006. Hames is a two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week this season. Dec. 1 Second Round • Sophomore opposite hitter Jazz Sweet is second on the team in total kills and is producing 2.39 kills per set.
