Sarah Skinner is a former Los Angeles film and television Casting Director with the Casting Society of America. She is also a former film and television actress, and a member of the Screen Actors Guild. She was a company member studying Stanislavski’s “Method” with Lorinne Vozoff at Theatre Group Studio, trained at the Groundlings Theatre, and studied with Michelle Danner at Edgemar Center for the Arts. She also studied with Paramount Casting Director Bob McAndrew, and Michael Shurtleff, author of “Audition” a Broadway Casting Director for David Merrick, Bob Fosse, and Andrew Lloyd Weber.

Sarah has been teaching acting in film, television, and theater for 21 years. She has cast and acted in films and television with such stars as Emmy Award winning actor Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Alba, James Woods, Dennis Hopper, Henry Winkler, Randy Quaid, and among others.

Her credits include projects for Paramount, Sony, ABC, Disney’s “Even Stevens,” Voice Over Casting for Nickelodeon, and Porchlight Entertainment, and casting pilots and episodic television for Executive Producers Billy Riback, (Home Improvement) Dennis Rinsler and Marc Warren (Full House, Even Stevens) and host casting for Sony.

Sarah began teaching at Edgemar Center for the Arts, (FKA the Larry Moss Studio –acting coach to Leonardo DiCaprio and Hillary Swank) a community theatre started by Steven Spielberg and Michelle Danner. Sarah’s classes include Scene Study, On Camera Cold Reading, Improv Workout, and Audition classes for children and adults.

Most recently she has taught acting and directed plays at the Bedford Youth Performing Company in Bedford, NH, and directed the Hollis Middle School play, “Dear Edwina.” Sarah is acting/writing/directing coach and contributor for On A.I.R. – Amherst Investigative Reporters, Independent Producers for SAU39’s Digital Magazine, “One School Street.”
