OUR BRETESCHE SUITE

Thanks to fabrics and majestic lines act as reminded of the rail of the castle and mate- rials (introduction of leather), our designer was inspired by the omnipresent nature in Bretesche to rethink its character, and there- fore give a new personality to these rooms through a captivating style.

The Suite which consists of a room and a lounge separated by the natural stone bathroom reflects a floral atmosphere of the seasons.

THE GOLF DE LA BRETESCHE “One of the most beautiful golf courses in france, and maybe even in the world“

Set in a beautiful 100 year-old forest, Le Golf de la Bretesche stretches out below the chateau, at the heart of a 200-acres estate.

The magnificent 72-par 18-hole course is 6015 m long; the greens are fast but steady. The oak, pine, white beech and red willow-lined fairways are cut into diamond shapes. Unusually, the tees are planted with rosebushes, hydrangeas and rhododendrons and the ninth hole is one of the finest on the course thanks to its breathtaking view of the medieval chateau.

The course was designed by Bill Baker – designer of the Haut Poitou and Nîmes Vacquerolles golf courses – and attracts “golf-tourists” from all around the world. However, with only a few well-placed bunkers to negotiate, golfers of any handicap can play at La Bretesche.

Designed in keeping with the 18-hole course, the compact 9-hole course features well-guarded greens. This is the ideal course for those who are working on their short game, enabling beginners to know their handicap and allowing more experienced golfers to perfect their game.

The maintenance of Le Golf de la Bretesche is second-to-none and has a superb reputation for its flawless appearance. There is ample parking; automatic sprinklers; under-soil drainage; sand over the fairway to make it soft and green all year round, dry in winter and comfortable in summer. Paths for trolleys and carts are available all year round.

It is open all year round. 20% reduction will be applied for hotel and cottages residents.

The course attracts a host of excellent golf professionals too, boasting one of the top 40 golf pros in France, Master-Pro Thierry Mathon. He has created a simple teaching method to help golfers of any level or age to progress in their golfing ability.

For example: Beginner sessions for those who have never played before. Green card and perfection sessions for those who have, or are preparing for, their green card.
