Wealth Without Wall Street Wealth Without Wall Street: A Main Street Guide To Making Money Epub Downloads Wealth Without Wall Street: A Main Street Guide to Making Money gives Main Street Americans concrete ways to improve their finances and to reduce the power of Wall Street and Washington over their lives. This bestselling book is the third by award winning syndicated columnist and Huffington Post Contributor Don McNay, Wealth Without Wall Street is an easy to read book loaded with common sense advice. Its call to action can be summed up in five steps: 1. Tear up your credit cards. Eliminate debt. Stay away from the "legalized loan sharks" such as payday lenders. 2. See if you have what it takes to be self-employed. 3. Get rich slowly. Think about money long term instead of week to week. 4. Move your money from a "too big to fail" Wall Street bank to a Main Street bank or credit union in your community. 5. "Think globally, act locally" is what Wealth Without Wall Street is all about. By the end of the book, you'll have a road map for doing both.Don McNay, CLU, ChFC, MSFS, CSSCwww.donmcnay.com An award-winning syndicated financial columnist and Huffington Post contributor, McNay has appeared on numerous television and radio programs in the United States and Canada, including the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric. He has been quoted in publications around the world, including USA Today and Forbes, Registered Representative, and Financial Planning magazines. McNay was a pioneer in structured settlements, the field of helping injury victims and lottery winners handle large sums of money. He founded McNay Settlement Group, which is part of the McNay Group (www.mcnay.com), in 1983. He is considered one of the nation's leading experts in structured settlements and qualified settlement funds. His company has been noted for its work with special-needs children, along with injury victims and lottery winners. McNay has a master’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a second masters from the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. A graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, McNay was inducted into the Eastern Kentucky University Hall of Distinguished Alumni in 1998.McNay is a Quarter Century Member of the Million Dollar Round Table and he has has four professional designations in the financial services field. Advance Praise for Wealth Without Wall Street: A Main Street Guide to Making Money“Don McNay is an original, provocative voice taking on all of those who would get rich off our ignorance and feelings of financial desperation.†--Gary Rivlin, Newsweek/Daily Beast, author of BROKE, USA“Don McNay understands money ... how to make it and, better yet, how to hang onto it. Read his book. It goes down easy, and it will do you a world of good.â€--Ed McClanahan, author of The Natural Man, Famous People I Have Known and other books“At last, a road atlas to wealth for those of us who don’t like driving on Wall Street.â€--Byron Crawford, award-winning columnist, author, broadcaster, and member of the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame “Don’s road map to financial security is a must-read for all Americans searching for practical, long-term solutions to debt reduction and elimination, entrepreneurship, and wealth-building minus the high-stakes gamesmanship of Wall Street. --Renee Shaw, producer/host, Kentucky Educational Television Don’ understands money, but his real strength is understanding people. He has real insight into what motivates the players and he explains it well to my audience. He’s one of my favorite guests.†--Joe Elliott, Louisville, Kentucky; The Joe Elliott Show “You don’t have to study the labor disputes in professional sports, or the politics in Washington for very long to see there’s a shortage of common sense. That’s exactly what I found when I started reading Don McNay’s columns several years ago. We brought him on our radio show to talk about financial issues in a way that connected with people more than someone look File Size: 463 KB Print Length: 112 pages Page Numbers Source ISBN: 0979364485 Publisher: RRP International LLC (December 14, 2013) Publication Date: December 14, 2013 Sold by: Digital Services LLC Language: English ASIN: B005IDKWR0 Text-to-Speech: Enabled X-Ray: Not Enabled Word Wise: Enabled Lending: Not Enabled Screen Reader: Supported Enhanced Typesetting: Enabled Best Sellers Rank: #658,862 Paid in Kindle Store (See Top 100 Paid in Kindle Store) #45 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Business & Money > Industries > Insurance > Life #114 in Books > Business & Money > Insurance > Life #390 in Kindle Store > Kindle eBooks > Business & Money > Personal Finance > Retirement Planning The first couple of pages sounded promising but the remainder of the book was more a complilation of anecdotes from the author's experiences. I didn't find a lot of useful information, just plain old financial commonsense which I would suspect most people reading a book on wealth-making would already have. I Have known Don through his business for decades. He is the ultimate professional, and really know what he is talking about. That is why I really like reading his book. It gives you an inside track on issues that are important to all of us; how to make and keep enough money to get us through life. This is a great book by Don McNay! I would recommend this especially to young people who are learning how to build their wealth to prepare for retirement! very interesting Ordered the book thinking it would be a practical guide to "getting money out of wall st", however little information of worth. Mostly what is already common knowledge. This book is no more worthy of a purchase then a blog statement on the internet.I feel like the 1% got me again. This book is as much a guide to making money as TV Guide is a primer on how to produce a TV show. There is nothing but a bunch of glittering generalities between the covers.McNay might as well tell us to wipe ourselves after we use the toilet.Fortunately the book is short so I only wasted a few hours of my life reading it. Afterward, it went right in to the recycling bin. Personal money management isn't rocket science, but many people steer away from the subject as if it were. Don McNay has done a wonderful job of breaking it down to the basic principles that everyone can not only understand but put into practice as well. "Wealth Without Wall Street" is an easy-to-follow primer on how to take control of your life by taking control of your money. The real life stories drive the points home. In fact, I was inspired to "move my money" to my credit union today.
