Whilst doing his voluntary work, Tom began to show interest in to the National Citizen Service Summer programme, delivered by the Trust, to which he eventually signed up and proceeded to complete as a participant.

There will be other areas developed and investigated during the new season, these will include; Adult Participation, which will focus on giving adults a range of opportunities to get involved in regular physical activity and sport in a friendly and relaxed community setting.

Adult Education, a range of courses to be made available for adults to increase their qualifcations and employability skills. A Leadership Academy to be developed to support local young people to get involved in regular volunteer and social action opportunities.

The Community Trust is also very committed to supporting the development of community facilities to support Blackpool to become a more active town.

An example of this is the facility currently being developed at Bloomfeld Road Stadium.

With support from the Premier League and the Football Foundation, the Trust is developing a Community and Education Centre, which will host four new classrooms, a family zone, gym and physical activity space. The facility, which we hope to open in early 2019, will support a range of the Community Trusts current provisions, whilst supporting the development of even more new opportunities.

Blackpool FC Community Trust has the power and enthusiasm to change lives and will look to work with as many local, regional and national partners and organisations to support us in our quest to give the great people of Blackpool the best opportunities to make their lives the best they can be.
