STAR GRADUATES Held up near the back of the 13-strong field as Amor De Mi MISS YODA Vida (Dabirsim) set the pace, she found a clear gap as the runners spread across the track with two furlongs to run and made Sea The Stars – Monami (Sholokhov) smooth progress to get to the front just inside the furlong marker. She only had to be mildly pushed out by Sean Levey to win by three quarters of a length from the debut winner Alcohol Free (No Nay Never), who also deserves credit for racing widest of all and getting no cover. The maiden Scarlet Bear (Kodi Bear) was prominent throughout and stayed on well for third. Bred by Redpender Stud and bought by Peter and Ross Doyle for just £25,000 at last year’s Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale, Happy Romance has now won four of her six starts and earned more than £195,000 for her connections. She raced in the colours picture courtesy of Megan Ridgwell of Blenheim Holdings Southern Limited for her first three starts, which included a fifth in the Gr.2 Queen Mary Stakes, and now €280,000 runs for the McMurray family.
