AUTUMN AT OASI ZEGNA Traveling with Mattias Klum, National Geographic photographer Inauguration and free workshops for kids on Saturday 19 October, from 4 pm. From 20 October to 24 November open every Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm. Entry free of charge.

On Saturday 19 October at Casa Zegna, the historical archive and cultural facility in () is opening a new exhibition: it’s entitled “Autunno nell’Oasi Zegna, in viaggio con Mattias Klum”, the second event featuring the talented National Geographic photographer who returned to Oasi Zegna to shoot some panoramic views (aerial and macro ) of the natural beauty of the landscape in this season charged with emotion.

Mattias Klum, who specializes in landscapes and natural environments, captured the essence of Oasi Zegna, revealing and secret, inaccessible places but also beautiful things we have right in front of us but don’t often stop to contemplate.

A hymn to joy, a tribute to the land and what is most real about it. A message calling for protection of and respect for the environment that also addresses the new generations, for whom free workshops on recycling (by ReMlda) will be organized on the inauguration day (19 October).

Oasi Zegna is an environmental upgrading project covering a montane area of around 100 km2 around Trivero (Biella). It’s a product of the long-term vision of Ermenegildo Zegna, a native of the area who in the 1930s launched a program of major public works around the wool mill bearing his name. This also included the construction of a 26 km panoramic road (now called the Panoramica Zegna) overlooking the Po valley and large scale reforestation of the surrounding mountain slopes with over 500,000 conifers and hundreds of rhododendrons and hydrangeas.

Since it was created in 1993, Oasi Zegna has been a triumph of natural beauty, open to everyone, and even more enchanting in autumn when the colors of nature come aflame.

”We go behind the scenes and tell a story within the story. Our work adds breadth and perspective in an authentic way and represents the link between what people know in their minds and what they feel in their hearts. The future of our planet depends on our sense of responsibility and capacity to change our models of behavior so we can live in harmony with nature and society. Our program instills not only awareness and hope but also the emotional connection each of us needs to be able to bring about this change. Success can be measured when the people we have reached have the power to fight for causes and take visible steps towards the creation of a sustainable environment,” says Klum.
