2. How to Play PAC-MAN Plus

Guide PAC-MAN through the maze by using the navigation keys (UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT), avoiding the ghosts while gobbling up all the PAC-dots.

Gobble up the fruit for the chance to turn the maze or the ghosts invisible, making them worth even more points. Chomp some fruit or a Power Pellet to momentarily turn the ghosts blue. When they're blue you can eat them for bonus points. Get an extra life when you reach 10,000 points.

PAC-dots = 10 points each. Power Pellets = 50 points each. Eat a Ghost = 200 points for the first ghost, double the points for each subsequent ghost (double if invisible).

GAME MODES Expert : A new and improved arcade version. Standard : Tuned for handset play, a little slower. Easy : The easiest difficulty level, plus you get 2 extra lives.

i GHOSTS - There are 4 unique ghosts that chase PAC-MAN around the maze.

Blinky (RED) aka “ Shadow” : The fearless leader of the ghosts.

Pinky (PINK) aka “Speedy” : Smart and good at ambushing PAC-MAN.

Inky (LIGHT BLUE) aka “Bashful” : Tends to be a little off target, but watch out if he gets close!

Clyde (ORANGE) aka “ Pokey ”: The least aggressive of the bunch.

POWER PELLETS - These are the four large blinking dots. If PAC-MAN eats one, the ghosts will turn blue temporarily. During this time you can eat the ghosts and score bonus points!

FRUIT - Different kinds of fruit will appear occasionally. Eat them up for extra bonus points and special abilities such as turning the ghosts or mazes invisible!

WARP TUNNELS - These are located on the left and right sides of the screen. You can use them to jump from one side to the other.

Tips and Tricks

• Watch for what turns invisible when you eat fruit. Ghosts and dots could both be worth much more. • If the color of the maze matches the color of a ghost, he is immune to the power pellets, but the fruit will always work. • Try turning slightly before you reach the next maze intersection. • PAC-MAN moves slightly more slowly when eating dots than otherwise, so if you need to outrun a ghost hot on your tail, go for a path you’ve already cleared, otherwise they may overtake you!

Frequently Asked Questions

What does PAC mean? “Paku” is the Japanese sound for eating. So “paku paku” is like saying “munch munch”!

How many levels are there in the game? ii As in the arcade original, there are 256 levels.

Can PAC-MAN ever go in the ghosts’ box? Sorry, the box, known as the “nest”, is for ghosts only.

Can the ghosts follow PAC-MAN anywhere? There are a couple of places known as the “safe spots”, into which PAC-MAN can turn up into but the ghosts cannot. These are at the base of the “T” shaped walls immediately above and below the ghosts’ nest.

Why did one ghost not turn blue when I ate the power pellet? In PAC-MAN Plus, ghosts that match the maze wall color are immune to Power Pellets. Four of the five maze colors match the ghost colors. Watch out!

The game seems slow for PAC-MAN. The Original setting is tuned to be as close as possible to the arcade game. The Easy and Normal settings are designed to make the game easier to play. Play Original for the fastest play (but it’s the hardest).

Trouble Shooting

Why can’t I hear any sound? Go into the Options menu to toggle the sound options. If you still can’t hear sound, exit the game and check your phone’s settings and volume. The phone’s sounds may be disabled or the volume may be too low to hear the game.

How do I toggle the vibration? Go into the Options menu to toggle the sound options. If you don’t feel any vibration after turning the vibration on, consult your phone’s manual to turn it on and off.
