March 1-6 WCC Tournament TBA LAST WEEK — The Waves began the weekend with a 79-53 loss at San Diego, but bounced back in a big way with an 85-74 PCH Cup home victory over Loyola All Times Pacifi c | HOME GAMES IN BOLD Marymount. Paige Fecske scored 37 points, tied for the seventh-best scoring *Denotes WCC Contest game in program history. She had 10 points in the fourth quarter as the Waves broke a 57-57 tie by outscoring the Lions 28-17 in the fi nal 10 minutes. WCC STANDINGS Team WCC Overall SERIES VS. BYU — The Cougars are 16-2 all-time against the Waves and have Gonzaga 13-1 20-5 won the last 13 meetings. Pepperdine is looking for its fi rst win in Provo (0-7). San Diego 7-7 14-11 Pacifi c 6-8 12-13 YRB FILE — Yasmine Robinson-Bacote has worked hard to follow up her Pepperdine 5-9 9-15 fi rst-team All-WCC selection from last year with a solid junior season, leading Santa Clara 3-11 7-18 the Waves with 18.5 points (third in the WCC) and 7.7 rebounds (sixth in the Portland 2-12 6-19 WCC). She’s ninth in the WCC in fi eld goal percentage (47.6%), 10th in minutes PEPPERDINE WAVES BASKETBALL (32.4) played and 12th in free throw percentage (75.9%). The junior forward has eight double-doubles on the year, including a career-best 34 points and 16 rebounds against Idaho State (11/21), and she also had back-to-back 31-point games against Portland (2/1) and Pacifi c (2/3). She earned WCC Player of the Week honors on 11/20/17 and 2/5/2018. She begins the week with 965 career points and is 35 away from becoming the program’s 23rd 1,000-point scorer. PESKY FECSKE — Paige Fecske ranks second on the Waves in both points (9.8) and assists (3.0). Her career high was 21 points before she exploded for 37 points (tied for seventh-highest scoring mark in program history) in a victory over LMU (2/10). She ranks seventh in the WCC in three-point percentage (.374), seventh in assist-turnover ratio (1.6), eighth in free throw percentage (.783), 11th in three-pointers made (1.4), 14th in assists and 25th in scoring.
