This volume entitled Financial Information & Statistics provides information related to candidate and recognized political party election expenses, reimbursement of candidate election expenses and election administration costs. Comparative statistics are provided where available and appropriate.     Spring and Summer 2013 STATUS OF LEGISLATION OF THE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY 5th Session, 61st General Assembly 62 Elizabeth II, 2013 Published by the Office of the Legislative Counsel Halifax, Nova Scotia STATUS OF LEGISLATION This booklet contains a list of all the bills that were introduced in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in Spring and Summer 2013. This sitting is the Fifth Session of the Sixty-first General Assembly. A Government Bill is distinguished by designating the portfolio of the Minister who introduced it. A Private Member’s Bill (non- Government public bill) or Private or Local Bill is distinguished by giving the constituency of the member who introduced it. In Nova Scotia, all Government Bills and Private Members’ Bills, after receiving second reading, are referred to the Law Amendments Committee unless the House otherwise determines. The only excep- tion to this rule is the appropriations bill which is governed by spe- cial rules of the House. All Private or Local Bills, after receiving second reading, are referred to the Committee on Private and Local Bills unless the House otherwise determines.
