The 54Th Annual New York Emmy® Award Nominations THE NEW YORK CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF THE 59th ANNUAL NEW YORK EMMY® AWARDS New York, NY, March 19, 2016 – MSG Network was the big winner tonight at the 59th Annual New York Emmy® Awards which took place at the Marriott® Marquis’ Broadway Ballroom. Following MSG Network with 14 Awards was WNBC, which won 13 New York Emmy® Awards. WXTV Univision 41’s Eric Garner Protests New York City took home the Emmy® for best “Evening Newscast Larger Markets” for its December 14, 2014 broadcast. WRGB took home the Emmy® for best “Evening Newscast Medium Markets” for its Corruption Crackdown. The 2016 Governors’ Award was presented to Bill Geist – Emmy® Award-winning correspondent, “CBS Sunday Morning,” best-selling author, and columnist.
