BASEBALL’S BEST CONVERGE ON NATION’S CAPITAL FOR 89TH MLB ALL-STAR GAME

NEW YORK, NY – Next Tuesday, FOX Sports steps up to the plate to broadcast the 89th Major League All-Star Game presented by Mastercard, its 20th overall. With support across FS1, FOX Sports Regional Networks, , FOXSports.com, the FOX Sports App and FOX Sports Radio, the network highlights the best of in its contest for league supremacy.

All-stars from the American and National Leagues face off in the 2018 Mid-Summer Classic at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, July 17 with pregame coverage beginning at 7:00 PM ET on FS1 and continuing on the FOX broadcast network at 7:30 PM ET.

The MLB All-Star Game will be called by Hall of Famer and eight-time All-Star , along with seven-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play announcer . This year’s game marks Smoltz’s third, while Buck has been on the call since the contest debuted on FOX in 1997. Two-time Emmy Award-winning FOX MLB Insider and two-time Emmy Award- winning broadcaster round out the broadcast crew, providing in-game reports from the dugouts.

“Big Papi,” , is back with FOX Sports and makes his 2018 All-Star debut as a studio analyst alongside first-ballot Hall of Famer and five-time All-Star Frank Thomas, Champion and three-time MVP and Emmy-nominated host .

Coverage of the 2018 MLB All-Star Game begins Monday, July 16 at 6:30 AM ET on FS1 with FIRST THINGS FIRST live from the ballpark, hosted by Cris Carter, Nick Wright and Jenna Wolfe. Beginning at 3:00 PM ET Monday, FS1 recaps the first half of the season with MLB ALL- STAR PREVIEW SHOW, a two-hour program featuring highlights of 2018’s best baseball moments and live All-Star player interviews during media day.

FIRST THINGS FIRST returns to Nationals Park on Tuesday at 6:30 AM ET to get things started before baseball’s biggest event of the of the summer. Burkhardt, Rodriguez, Ortiz and Thomas gear up at 7:00 PM ET on FS1 to preview the game before switching to the FOX broadcast network for additional pregame coverage from the studio crew at 7:30 PM ET.

FOX Sports’ Pete Macheska produces the 2018 MLB All-Star Game, and Matt Gangl handles directing duties. Former Major League Baseball player Edgar Gonzalez joins FOX Deportes as game analyst for the Mid-Summer Classic, with Ronaldo Nichols serving as the play-by-play announcer. FOX Sports Social/Digital The FOX Sports social team and FOX Sports’ digital group begin Monday, July 16 with an assortment on social media platforms in which fans may participate. There will be an interactive Facebook LIVE/Periscope simul-stream, ‘Ask Ken,’ featuring Rosenthal. Exclusive livestream access continues on Tuesday, July 17 as Buck and Smoltz host an in-game Facebook LIVE session from the booth at Nationals Park, where the dynamic duo will break down all the action.
